**Request for gwandaW3000 where Peter's identity is secret and he's in college with Miles Morales! I went a little off script on this one, but I wanted it to all work together... I had a lot of fun with this! I hope it's what you wanted. I love Miles - I have a whole book of Miles content coming later this year - so this was great for me! Enjoy!!**

If there was one thing Peter hated about college, it was the dorm system. Why was he paying $10,000 a term to live in a room the size of a closet with another person who he'd never ever met and also, he had to share a shower with 40 gross strangers and can't cook on his own.

Then he met Miles, his roommate, and Peter was relieved. Miles was a young student, too, all bouncing energy and optimism. He was actually a lot like Peter.

They got on like a house on fire.

And then Peter brought Miles to the Tower to meet his boss, Tony. Peter had been working with the man for years now, ever since he was a young teen. Oh, and he'd been fighting with him on the field as Spiderman, too, but no one needed to know that.

"Who's your friend?" Tony asked, watching as Peter led Miles through the workshop.

"This is Miles," Peter said brightly. "He's my new roommate!"

Tony looked unimpressed, so Peter hurriedly continued. "He's an theoretical physics major so I told him to come hang out with us today."

"Whatever you say, Lil' spider."

Miles leaned over to Peter. "Why do they call you little spider?"

There was the sound of the elevator opening again and Peter held up a hand. He put his fingers down as if counting down to something, and when he reached 1, he pointed.

"Маленький паук!" Natasha ran over and pulled Peter into a hug. "FRIDAY told me you were here!"

Miles was staring at the two in awe, his eyes blown wide. This was the Black Widow herself. A highly trained assassin. The very definition of 'badass bitch'.

Natasha pushed some of Peter's hair back out of his eyes. "Your hair is getting so long, baby, we should cut it. I can't see your cute face with it all dangly."

Peter just shrugged. "It's fine, Tasha, I don't mind."

Natasha just tutted.

Miles got used to it, though. Peter was the Avenger's kid, for lack of a better definition. He worked on projects in the lab with Tony and Bruce, he played pranks with Clint and Sam, he let Natasha and Pepper fuss, and he even jokes around with Bucky and Steve.

When Peter started spending the night at the Tower, Miles tagged along. It wasn't every week - sometimes Miles stayed at the dorms to get more work done - but every now and then, he'd hang out with Peter at the Tower and they'd stay up late watching movies with the team before piling into Peter's big, king-sized bed and having a pillow fight before sleeping in ridiculously late on the following morning.

Which is why when the alarm went off at 4:30am on one of the night's Peter was sleeping over, it was Miles who jerked awake, flailed in the sheets, and thudded to the floor.

"You okay?" Peter asked, pulling a lazy hand over his face. He was used to these by now, but Miles was about to piss himself in surprise.

"What the hell is that?"

"The-" Peter yawned, cutting himself off "-alarm. I'll go see what's happening."

Peter pulled the blanket off the bed and wrapped it around his shoulders as he blinked sleep out of his eyes. Tony was already in the hall when Peter poked his head out. "What's going on?"

"Some guy's tearing up half of Queens," Tony said, zipping up his under armor suit. "Says he's the Green Goblin, he's looking for Webs."

Peter tried not to wince at that. The Green Goblin wasn't known for being a gentle guy, and Peter had more than enough run ins with him.

"You and Miles stay here and don't go near the windows." Tony pressed a kiss to Peter's forehead. "That's for Nat, too."

Peter watched as Tony rounded the corner and disappeared out of sight before he shrugged off his blanket and headed back into his room, already feeling way more awake.

"There's an attack," he told Miles plainly. Miles had gotten back in bed by that point, his small body bundled up under a mountain of blankets and pillows. "It's one of my big villains, so I really should be out there," Peter added under his breath.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"Not nothing." Miles threw the covers off his head. "Did you say one of your villains?"

"No."

"Peter," Miles said sternly. "You better-"

Peter cut Miles off with a look. "Go back to bed, Miles. It's nothing."

Peter crawled back in bed, pulling a good portion of the blankets away from Miles. He had a rule about this - absolutely no Spiderman while staying at the Tower. No exception. Except Tony and Nat and the others were out there fighting his battle and Peter was snuggled in a warm bed with his best friend. He should be out there, swinging from rooftop to rooftop, taking blows for his family. He should be-

Miles must have heard Peter's incessant  sighing because he turned over, reached for the bedside lamp, and rounded on Peter.

"Dude, you better tell me what's going on."

Peter searched Miles' face for anything other than genuine care and concern. "You can't tell anyone."

"My lips are sealed." Miles mimed locking his lips with a key before flicking his fingers away.

"I'm Spiderman."

Miles took the news surprisingly well, he only yelped a little and half-fell out of bed, his leg getting tangled in the sheet and catching him.

"Now, if I suit up and go out there, can you cover for me? If I get hurt or the others beat me back here, can I count on you to have my back?" Peter was already tugging on the Spider-suit, which he kept hidden in his bag at all times. When Miles didn't reply, Peter turned around.

Miles was tucking pillows into the bed as if they were Peter's body.

"Hey, man, I got you," Miles said, throwing out a hand. Peter grabbed it and the two leaned in for a one-armed hug. "That's what friends are for."

Peter shot him a grateful smile before tugging on his mask and opening the window. Miles did a mock salute as Peter fell from the window sill gracefully.

"Go gettem, Spiderman."
