(Jonathan Stephen didn't have the best life. That's all due to the loss of his parents and his house caused by a terrorist attack in which he was lucky to have survived. He became completely sad and depressed.)
Jonathan: What did I do to deserve that?
(Years later, he became one of the commanders of Azur Lane, but that didn't help against his own depression and sadness, which worries the shipgirls.)

Belfast: You were abused?
Jonathan: Nope. I lost my parents and my housed due to a terrorist attack. There was nothing I could do back then. I became orphaned, and this made me completely sad...
Enterprise: (pats his shoulder) No need to feel alone anymore, commander.
Belfast: We're here for you.
Jonathan: What about the others?
Akagi: Ara ara... no need to worry about them either. We took care of them, permanently.
Bismarck: What matters to us now is you, and only you.
(The Commander then hugs Enterprise as he cries.)
Jonathan: Thank you...
(She pats his head and smiles.)
Enterprise: No need to worry, your life will be much better from now on.
(The shipgirls treat him like a good boyfriend, but they occasionally kill anyone who wither hits on him or tries to break them up.)
