Bailey's residents and Ryan Grey all slept in Isobel Stevens' hospital room as the cancer patient hadn't yet woken up from the surgery where Miranda Bailey came into the room, "Any changes overnight?"
Ryan stirred awake from the converted chair, "No." He responded shaking his head tiredly, "That's the chief." Bailey remarked when hearing her pager go off, "Somebody better make a coffee run. You all look like hell."
"I gotta be in surgery in ten minutes. Um—" O'Malley responded, rubbing at his tired eyes as he got up from the pull out chair, "Mer, will you let me know—" Ryan's sister nods her head, "Yeah," Ryan half smiled at George who walked out of the room.
Meredith then looked to her sited and person, "We should probably go too. It's probably gonna be a while." Ryan nods his head, knowing for a fact that it will be awhile, standing up from the pull out chair, "Shepherd said she'll wake up in the morning." Alex said, "What did he tell you? Was that all crap?" Alex kept asking questions to Meredith.
Ryan walked out of Izzie's hospital room before his sister or even Cristina did when he turned his head seeing George O'Malley shaking Owen Hunt's hand which made him confused, "Ryan, you okay?"
The male Grey nods his head, clearing his throat, "Fine." He nods his head, "I need to um—go and see if Derek needs me," Meredith nods her head at her brother's comment who walked away from his older sister.

"It's not frankly, it's the brass ring."
Arizona stated to Dr Bailey as Ryan passed the two superiors who were talking loudly, "My husband informed me yesterday that if I accept the peds fellowship, if I sign on for another two years of training and the hours and workload that come with it, when I could be general surgery attending and make it home for dinner, he will divorce me," Miranda told Arizona as Ryan stopped in his track.
"Wait, what?"
Miranda Bailey turned to look at Ryan Grey, "Grey, this isn't—" Ryan shook his head, "Your husband is threatening to divorce you because you might want to do the peds fellowship?" Ryan shook his head, "That's not right. That is not right." He repeated.
Miranda looked at Ryan, "Dr Grey, it's my—" Ryan looked at Dr Bailey, "No, Dr Bailey, how am I supposed to learn from you if your idiot of a husband isn't going to let you help sick children?"
"He's just—"
Ryan looked at the shorter resident, "It's not right, Dr Bailey. What your husband is doing isn't right." He told her truthfully before walking away from where the two superiors stood in the hallway.
When he then hears Alex talking too loudly or what sounded like arguing to Ryan, "Hey." He entered his patient's room seeing Alex with his arms crossed over his chest, "Alex, you should give her some space."
Ryan told the resident, "No, she is my wife, I am looking after her." Alex commented as Ryan shook his head, stepping forwards, "Shouting that you're going to smother her with a pillow because she isn't remembering things isn't helping or looking after her," Ryan said with Izzie's clipboard in hand, "So go, and calm down. Now."
Alex stepped out of Izzie's hospital room as Ryan looked at the post it notes around Izzie that was to help her with her memory that was lost because of the surgery.
"Is this all to help you remember?"
Izzie nods her head, "It's to help me remember," Izzie repeated back to the intern who looked away from the post-it notes to Izzie again, "It's okay, Iz, just take a moment," Izzie leaned her head back against her pillow, "I'll come back."

"It's George! John Doe is George!"
Meredith said coming to where the surgeons were all stood with their scrub caps placed on their heads, "We have you, O'Malley, you hear me? We have you, we'll fix this. Just stay with us."
Ryan immediately wrapped his arms around his sister's body who fell limp into his arms, "It's George." Meredith repeated in her brother's arms, "John Doe is George. I need to—I need to go and help them."
Ryan loosened his hold on his sister who stood up as Ryan looked at his sister, "Go and save O'Malley, ok?" Meredith nods her head at her brother's words running to the scrub room, "I'll be out here waiting," Meredith looked one last time at her brother who stayed in the same position outside of the OR room that the surgeons were working on George O'Malley.
