"7-Adam-19, show us Code 6, Florence and Central Avenue,"

"You're not going in there," Mirana says.

"What?"

"I will take the Narcan to Isabel," Mirana says. "You see her and then you do something stupid. Like almost get us both killed. So I will take the Narcan and you will get your head on straight"

"You don't give the orders in this car-"

"Do you know what those bikers were going to do to me if you lost?" Mirana asks. "They all wanted a turn. Hell, one of them groped my ass after the fight! You put us in danger intentionally. I was surrounded by at least three bikers and I'm sure more would have joined in"

"Mirana-"

"You're enabling her," Mirana says. "Giving her money, bringing her Narcan- All of it. You're feeding her addiction. So I'm going to go up and you are staying down here"

"It's apartment 510," Tim says as Mirana grabs the boxes of Narcan.

Mirana gets out of the car, slamming the door hard before turning and walking up the stairs. She finds 510 and knocks on the door. Isabel cracks the door open and quickly slams it in her face again.

"Isabel, just wait," Mirana sighs.

"Go away. Y-You can't come in without a warrant,"

"My name's Mirana, Tim's my T.O.," Mirana says. "He's waiting downstairs and if he sees you don't let me in he's going to come up here and kick the door down"

Isabel opens the door reluctantly. As she steps into the apartment, Mirana takes in the modest surroundings, noticing the cluttered yet cosy atmosphere.

Isabel stands before her with her arms crossed over her chest, giving Mirana a sense of her guarded demeanour.

"So, what do you want?"

"I'm here because every time Tim sees you it screws with his head," Mirana says.

"He seems fine,"

"He almost got me killed earlier," Mirana says. "But that doesn't matter, here"

Mirana hands Isabel the Narcan which she takes, placing it on the coffee table.

"I'm assuming you know what it is?" Mirana asks.

"Yeah, I know what Narcan is. Spent a decade bringing junkies back from the dead with it,"

"You were a nurse?" Mirana asks.

"No. A cop. Narcotics. He didn't tell you?"

"I know you left after getting hooked, middle of the night, he only saw you again the other day,"

"He told you that?" Isabel asks and Mirana nods. "That doesn't surprise me"

"What are you talking about?"

"How long have you known Tim?" Isabel asks.

"Just over a week," Mirana says.

"In a week, he looks at you in a way that he's never looked at me," Isabel says.

"So, you guys were on the force together?" Mirana asks, changing the subject.

"Different divisions. I, uh I worked out of the 77th, volunteered for undercover as soon as I could. Tim was happy on patrol, so we synched our shifts as best we could. It was perfect - till it wasn't,"

Isabel reaches out for the doorknob and twists it open, allowing Mirana to step outside. As the cool air brushes against her face, Mirana turns around to face Isabel, who clears her throat to grab her attention.

"So," Isabel says. "I want you to tell him to not come back here. There's no future for him with me anymore"

Tim looks up from the loose thread he is picking at when Mirana gets in the car. Tim reaches out and takes her hand, squeezing it. The pair remain silent until Mirana speaks.

"She told me to tell you to stay away from here," Mirana says. "That there's no future anymore"

"I've known for a while there's no future between Isabelle and me any more," Tim says. "I started speaking to a lawyer two months ago but we couldn't track her down. I thought she was having an affair but by the time I realised it was drugs, it was too late"

"For what it's worth, the apartment is decent," Mirana says. "She's living her life Tim, you should start living yours"
