Twelve whole days...I really do not know where the time has gone.

I have been in this form for so long that I no longer have any desire to change back. But there is one thing I am clinging to...November.

I know I am not allowed to tell anyone about my abilities...but I really cannot commit to a life as Caitlynn knowing that November has feelings for me. All the fame, publicity and money would mean nothing if I can share in the same relationship I have with November, but as Skylynn. I'd rather fail a hundred times as my old self then say goodbye! I would forever regret it!

I can't do this any longer!

Either I tell November the truth or I walk away completely. Friendship and love are worth more than fame and success. I took the locket and opened it, finally breaking the spell that I have been under since my outdoor photoshoot with my best friend; November.

It was odd walking around as a man...it no longer feels the same...it doesn't feel real anymore! I lay the locket on the table as I hate to do this, but I see no happy ending if I continue lying to my best friend.

I pick up my pink phone as I call mom. The phone rings a few times as I finally heard a voice on the other line.

"Hello sweetie! I was just about to call you to see if you wanted to spend the day together." mom says as it breaks my heart to say no.

"Could you please come over for a moment so that we can talk."

"I will be right there." mom says as she hangs up and a second later, appears in my living room, dressed in her typical fairy-like form. I leaned against the kitchen counter as I did not know how to break this to her. However, she had news of her own, informing me.

"I've got such amazing news for you, sweetie!" mom says as she walks over to me, then glances at me, seeming rather surprised "Oh, you went back to being Skylynn! How long did you stay as Caitlynn?"

"Twelve days." I replied "So, what amazing news do you have for me!?"

"Oh, that's right! So, I've gotten you into the Atlantis Wailing show! They finally accepted you! They saw your worth!" mom says, excited.

"Say what!?" I was shocked as I was waiting to hear a call from them...but that call had never came. Mom must have been working with the director on her end...just how does she do it? I do not know.

"Isn't that amazing!?" she asks, thrilled.

"That's like the most coveted job in all of mermaiding and modeling! How the hell did you manage to pull that one off?!" I asked.

"Like I said, I'm the best agent in the world!" she laughed.

"Well." as this complicates matters. I could tell that she wanted this gig so bad, but I did not call her here to discuss future gigs, I have other pressing matters at hand "I've got a serious problem!"

"Sweetie!" as she was looking at her phone "I'm texting you a copy of the contract that I just signed for you. It has all of your information on how much you will be earning over the course of the show..."

The text comes in as I look at the figure...let's just say: I was blown away. Financial insecurities would be a thing of the past!

"Whoa! Uhm...just how many zeros does that have!?" as I cannot believe that this is actually happening "That's more than I have earned in my entire career! And possibly my whole career!"
