I was in the restroom, fretting over the color of my hair. The once chocolate brown, neatly trimmed follicles were now mixed with bright hues of blonde as I knew what was happening to me...any new growth was coming in as pure blonde.

I was undoubtably transforming into Caitlynn; taking on her physical characteristics. From just how fast I was now transforming, I will probably be fully converted by October.

With all the barbershops shut down throughout Kitsap County, all thanks to phase one, I would have to travel outside of my county just for a haircut! Luckily, Mason County, which was about thirty minutes away to the southwest, was in phase two, allowing barbershops to be open.

I called every shop close by, but they were not taking any people outside of their county, meaning that I would have to live with my rapidly growing hair; until Kitsap went to phase two; or cut it myself.

I styled my hair, adding conditioner and brushing it out to give it some volume. I dare not cut it myself, as I did not have any experience in cutting hair, only how to style it to make it look presentable.

I waltzed out of my bathroom, modeling for Rose, who was sitting in front of the television, watching a soap opera.

"So, how does my hair look!?" I asked her as I posed before her, waiting for her opinion.

It would have been strange to ask my dog their opinion of my hair, but then again, Rose was a faerie dog, or a coin-sith as I was told. The magical world wasn't as startling now as it was many months ago. Even calling my own self a human was no longer true. I was slowly transforming into a faery, myself.

"Great, of course. You're a model, so you always look wonderful!" she says, always encouraging me.

"Not when I'm shedding pounds as quickly as I am and starting to look...well...feminine!" as this still bothers me "It is without any doubt that whatever magical spell mom has me under, I am completely changing! Soon, even the lockets power will be useless to me!"

"The locket is special to mother." Rose says plainly 'And special to me!' "So please, do not forsake it!"

"I do not think I could ever forsake it!" I say as I look at it hanging around my neck. "I panic whenever I misplace it! There is something about this locket that seems...familiar...but I do not seem to still remember what it is!"

"Try focusing on November!" Rose tells me as I let the locket rest against my skin as I nod "I've never met this young woman, but from what you have told me about her, she isn't a girl who judges looks ahead of more important values."

"Yeah, you're probably right! I'm just over stressing myself!" I smiled and giggled with amusement...another change that I was getting used to.

"Are you looking forward to your date with her?" Rose then asked me.

"I swear, I have never been more nervous about a date, then this one!" as I was fidgeting, twirling my hair, and trying to snap out of the personality flux I was going under. "Going out with a model is easy, as compared to going out with your childhood friend! She'd been my friend ever since we were kids, and this is the very first time that we have ever tried going out on a date." I sat down on the sofa, beside Rose "What if I screw this up, Rose!?"

"I bet if anything, she's just as nervous as you are, about this. Try to see it from her point-of-view." as Rose places her paw on my leg. I sighed, nodding for she was correct.

"Hopefully we can commit to our pinky swear in case this doesn't work out!" There then was a knock on the door as I looked at the closed door, gasping "She's here!"
