I was furious with Thaddeus attitude. How can he order me to stay away from my own best friend?

You're the one who made me agree! When I can't just do that like our friendship's nothing!

She sighed, Yes, but it will make it easier for him to accept you as his new mate and Luna.

So you're admitting that he doesn't accept us yet? I asks her.

She sighed, You got me, yes you're right. He's not yet ready to have somebody new in his life, it's too soon for him.

Fine, I will wait for him. I will try to be a gentle and submissive mate for him. I promised to prove that I can be a good mate, I think this is the only way. I said sighing. She nodded and hid behind my mind, as always.

I walked towards his room and knocked. "Come in." He says in a clipped tone. I flinched because I can feel his emotions through the bond.

Entering, I saw him looking at a picture. And I know it's Rosalinda and his. I cleared my throat, "Thaddeus..? Can we talk?" I asks hesitantly.

His head snapped to look at me, "Selena!" He tries to hide the picture behind his back. I won't lie, seeing him stare at the picture of his deceased mate breaks my heart even more.

"Umm yeah it's me. I just wanna apologize for being immature and insensitive awhile ago. I promise I will try to stay away from males from now on. But please, let me keep the friendship I have with Lucian."

I saw the emotions flood his eyes. Guilt, anger, jealousy and many more. I wanna hide from his intimidating gaze but I stood firm to show him I'm not afraid, that I love him.

Suddenly, he stood up walking towards me, "You shouldn't even apologize Selena. You and I both know you did nothing wrong." he says tucking the hair that covered my right eye.

"But I knew I hurt you, I know I did. So I just wanna apologize for being insensitive, meaning I did something wrong." I said softly to him.

He turned to me and I saw that he was trying to stop himself from doing something. But the questions, what is it?

"Sel, why can't you be angry with me?" He asks me, unreadable expression can be seen in his eyes.

Giving him a confuse look, "Why would I be angry? You did nothing wrong."

"Yes I did! I kept on hurting you when I shouldn't." He shouted flinging a vase to a wall. I can sense his anger, but I realized it wasn't directed to me. But to himself.

Try to calm him Selena! His emotions aren't stable. My wolf called out.

I just sighed and said, No need to tell me. I would gladly do it without anyone telling me, especially you. She growled at me.

I hugged him tight, "Calm down Thadd, please." I said almost like a whisper. His face softened after seeing the look in my face, not that I know what I know what I know how I look.

Well by the way he is looking at me right now, I think fear is written all over my face.

Seeing her in front of me looking scared, makes me want to bash my head on the table. Yeah, she's hugging me to show that she don't. But I can feel in our bond everything.

"Did I scare you?" I asked softly, hugging her back as tight as her grip is to me. She shook her her head and smiled.

"Why would I be scared? You're my mate and I know that you will never hurt me."

I looked at her, "Maybe not intentionally or... physically. But I know you're hurting inside because... of me." She look down making me know her answer.

"What time is your little party, with your best friends?" I asks her trying to change the subject.

I got an idiot for a human. My wolf huffed at me.

I am not an idiot you insolent mutt! I growled at him.

He rolled his eyes, Really? Do you really think I'm the idiot one between the two of us? I'm the one who keeps on convincing you to move on!

"Thaddeus, Are you there?" Selena asks waving a hand at my face. My wolf laughed at me, but I ignored his mocking.

I gave her a smile, "Yeah of course I am. So when is it?"

"Later 8 PM. You're coming with is right?" She asks taking me by surprise. I thought she doesn't want me to go with her. But then, I can see a glint of hope in her eyes.

I nodded, "Good, because I want to introduce the best friends I had since birth." giving her back the smile.

"Go back to the party, Sel. I need to take a small walk just for a little while." .

She gave me a worried look, "Are you okay? I think I should stay with you."

I shook my head, "No. It's your last night to stay here. I want you to enjoy your last few minuted of stay here. I can never promise that we can visit anytime that you want because I have a busy schedule being the Alpha King."

She look hesitant, but complied. Saying goodbye to me for a little while, I took a walk as I have planned.

The gardens of the Red Alpha pack is one of the most relaxing places I have ever visited. But then, I heard a rustle from the bushes.

I immediately took a fighting stance preparing for an attack. But what I saw made my blood boil, and kill him on the spot.

"Well, well what do we have here? The Alpha King finally shows himself to the world after getting his mate killed by me. Good to see you....

...brother."

Why hello!

So what do you think? Finally his brother shows up, after three years of hiding. And poor Selena, always the one waiting for Thaddeus to accept her wholeheartedly.
