Twenty Five...

Thaddeus Dalton

I opened the door of my bedroom and saw Selena already sleeping peacefully. Without realizing it, I smiled at her. Inside her she's carrying my heir. It brought relief to me knowing she's safe and with me.

But the smile fell off my face, realizing what happened last week. I got angry at her for not telling me that she was pregnant, it made me guilty. I shouldn't have reacted that way knowing that she might had been afraid to tell me, which I never considered.

I walk towards her sleeping figure and sat on the bed. Gazing at her sleeping features, she looks... peaceful.

"Thadd?" I didn't notice that she's already awake.

I smiled, "Hey, did I wake you?" I want to hit my self, of course I did.

"No, no. I just felt like I want to eat chocolate moist cake. Will you come with me downstairs?" she asked shyly.

"No need to ask Sel, all you need to do is tell me to come with you anywhere and I'll follow you like a lost puppy." I answered, chuckling.

She gave me a look, "What?"

"That was a pun Thadd, did you forget were werewolves? Then you're indicating your a child. Well... you're childish anyway so maybe you really are a pup." she mocked, with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Take that back!" I shouted while grabbing her in a tight hug making her squeal.

"So do you know how to make the cake?" I asked, turning to look at her.

She shook her head, "Then how will we make one?"

"Google."

So I got my phone and searched onto how will we make one chocolate moist cake without any mistakes. But I think that will only be possible if we won't try to do things like cracking eggs on the heads of each other.

But in the end, we did anyway. After awhile the kitchen looked like it was hit by a tornado. But at least we made a decent cake for Selena to pacify her cravings.

"How will we explain what happened to the kitchen Thaddeus?" My mate asked, mouth full of cake.

I laughed at how silly she looks but she returned it with a weird look. I just shook my head and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Just finish eating, and you don't need to worry about the kitchen," which is in terrible mess. I added silently in my head.

She sighed and continued eating.

"Sel, I'm sorry for getting angry right away without hearing your own side." I apologized that made her stop eating.

She shook her head, "No Thadd, I understand why. I kept it a secret to you, which is totally unfair. This is also your child, you have the right to know." Tears started to fall from her eyes, "I'm sorry."

"Hey, hey don't cry." I whispered, hugging her tight.

She bursted out laughing, still crying, "I hate hormones."

"Well then don't stop it."

When morning came, I left her on the bed. I want to check what is happening downstairs to all of my pack mates. I know the helper will come running towards me as she sees me walking down the stairs.

And I was right, "Your highness!" she called, "Goodness, our kitchen is in a mess. We don't who to point of this matter." she explained, looking frantic.

I scratched the back of my head guiltily, "Ummm Leah, that was the Luna and I's fault. I deeply apologize, the Luna Queen was craving for chocolate moist cake and we don't want to interrupt the chef's sleep so we tried our best to make one. But it turned to a huge mess but at least we did."

Her face is priceless, "Oh," her face turned to a confuse one, "Craving?"

"Yes, I will announce later what I meant." she just nodded and immediately left excusing herself.

I went to my office after grabbing a waffle and a coffee. I still need to finish some important papers concerning the pack matters.

"So I heard, you turned the kitchen into a mess."

I raised my head and saw Rovan giving me an amused look with his arms crossed. I just rolled my eyes and went back to continue what I was doing.

He tsked, "Now, now Alpha bro. Don't ignore me now, tell me what happened?"

"Shut up Rovan and what happened is none of your business. Go back to your own work, Beta." I answered still not looking at him.

"That's harsh, Alpha." another voice spoke.

When I looked up, was almost thrown out of my chair. There, stood Selena Colosel, arms crossed, and with a smirk on here face.

His face was priceless! I want to laugh so hard but I stopped myself from doing so. I know he wouldn't be so happy if I do laugh at him.

He stood up, "Selena, I didn't expect you to visit me here. What brings my little mate here?" he asks while tucking his hands in his pocket.

"Nothing, I just wanna see what you are so busy about. And I might say, this is... a lot." I commented, eyeing the stacks of papers. I don't know how they can take to stay seated all day just doing some papers without dying out of boredom. If I were him, I would go insane!

He laughed, "What do you expect us Alphas do, chilling around? And don't forget I am an Alpha King so it means I have more work than most Alphas do."

"Not so humble now Thadd?" she asks wrapping her arms around my shoulder with a smile, "When will we announce to everyone about the upcoming new member of the family?"

"Later." he answered, "Take a rest now. Just ask one of the helpers if you want anything, so later you would be well rested at the ceremony."

I just rolled my eyes at him and pecked his cheek. I left his office to take a nap as he instructed.

"Sel, Selena. Wake up you still need to prepare for the ceremony later." Somebody was shaking me.

When I opened my eyes, I saw a smiling Thaddeus.

I glared at him, "You interrupted my sleep." I whined.

He gave me a worried look, "Do you want me to cancel the ceremony Selena? I don't want to disrupt your sleep, it might be bad for the child. I'll just announce it by myself and sent them home right away."

I sat upright, "You can"t! That would be rude, we interrupted their normal night activities and suddenly cancel it."

"But you said I interrupted your sleep."

I shook my head' "No, no. I'll get ready, can you call Francheska to come and help me?"

He gave a confuse look, "But she's your best friend, I think it would be better if you're the one to ask her."

"Please..." I gave him my puppy dog eyes.

He look confuse but followed anyway. I sighed, how will I apologize?

"So, you want me to help you prepare for the ceremony?"

I looked up and smiled, "If you would help me... France."

She shook her head, "Of course! I would always help my best friend."
