Artemis' POV

I sat on one of the stone benches in the garden, silently gazing at the flowers as it shines because of the moon's light.

"Art..."

I turned around and saw Orion standing, his eyes gazing at me with...

Longing?

"Ori."

We just stared at each other, not knowing what we should do. Both of us made mistakes, but neither of us would like to admit it because if we do, the more it will be painful for us to let go of the memories that burdened us for hundreds of years.

Orion took a few steps and touched my face, "I'm sorry." He breathed out.

For the first time in my entire existence, I saw tears fall from his eyes. I have never seen him cry, that's why it softened me right away just seeing him this way.

"I already know the truth Ori."

His face brightened, "You just called me Ori, Art!"

I laughed at him, but to my surprise he carried me by the hips and twirled making me squeal.

"Artemis, finally here you are, in my arms." He said with a sigh.

I nodded, tears still streaming down my face. I hugged him tight my face hidden between his shoulder and neck.

"But Ori, our humans are gonna separate again. But I think their decision is for the best... right?" I asked hesitating.

He nodded but his eyes held sadness, "Yes, just one month and everything will be fine."

"Well, we can still meet in our world." He said, smirking.

Then suddenly a mischievous thought came into my head, "We should follow our humans decision."

I saw him frown, "Don't, I will not allow it."

I smiled at what he said, "You know, humans separate themselves from each other to test the love they have."

After what I said, he turned around and when, "Not so different from us huh?" He whispered.

I understood right away what he meant, and smiled sadly. Yeah, they're not really that different from us.

So I stood up and walked towards him, I immediately wrapped my arms around his waist. Then I put my chin on his right shoulder, "You look so down." I teased quietly.

I heard him chuckle a little and shook his head, "Nothing. I just hope that at least they will soon understand what's going on between them. It's hard to see our humans in pain because of some stupid deities wanting to have a little game not caring for what the ones involve feels." He ranted.

I slapped his shoulder,"Ow!" He cried out glaring at me, "What?"

"You should be careful with your choice of words, you might not know the one you're insulting is already listening and just nearby." I scolded him.

"Yes, your mate is right Alpha Orion. You might not know when they're listening."

Both of us turned abruptly and saw the moon goddess and the twin deities that caused so much pain to all of us just because of some game they wanted to play.

Orion's POV

I continued glaring the two deities that I want nothing to with, than strangle them to death even though that is entirely impossible. Sad to say, our mother is giving me a warning look as if telling me to cut it out and she knows what's going through my head.

"What a lovely glare your throwing at me Alpha." Destiny commented sarcastically at me with a smirk on her face.

I smiled, "Well I don't really care that much Destiny, since I don't really like you to give you a warm welcome." I answered back smugly.

I saw the smirk on her face vanished and was instantly replace by a scowl. Beside her, Fate remained emotionless staring at Artemis and I. The twins looked similar in every aspect except for one thing, Destiny is very expressive when it comes to what she feels and think but Fate... it's blank. You won't know what she's thinking until she acts on it.

Fate took a step forward, "My sister is right, wolf. You need to be careful because you are talking to deities that you know can turn you to ashes and send you into nothingness." She hissed.

But the scary part about it, her face remained the same.

Artemis face turned red, "Well, if you don't want to get grudging glares from anyone, then you should also be careful with your choices. And don't throw threats at us because it doesn't scare Orion and I." She hissed back.

The moon goddess took a step forward as well, "If you only came here to threaten my children sisters, you are very welcome to leave." She gave them a look.

Destiny laughed looking amuse, "Oh that's not really a good thing to say to your sisters Luna. Being harsh and all, that's not very you."

"Well, you're not acting kindly as well Destiny," Mother replied, "You're making me think if I should really keep my peace between our family."

Fate rolled her eyes, "You know that that is the wisest thing to do sister, we don't want any war between us."

"Well, it's time for me to leave anyway. No need to prolong our visit, let's go Fate." Destiny called out to her sister with a smirk.

The other twin nodded and the two vanished into thin air with a blink of an eye.

I turned to look at our mother, "What was that mother?"

She shook her head, "Nothing, congratulations the two of you. The two of you deserved the happiness that you two have as of this moment. And I heard, you are about to have an heir Orion." she smiled.

I nodded, "Yes mother, that information is true. Soon Artemis and I's pup will be born and the heir to my very throne shall soon come."

"That is good, make sure everything will be right this time my child. Don't make decisions that you will regret in the future okay?" She said gently.

I nodded looking down.

I felt the moon goddess touch my face, "I won't be able to bear to see the two of you with so much pain again. It breaks my heart to see the children I love to be in that position."

With a smile I nodded and I felt Artemis hold my hand as I wrapped my arms around her.

"I promise mother, this time everything will be better."
