Raven's POV

"First, I'd like to thank God. I know He is always there to guide each and every one of us as the school year passed by. And I know He is there too as we go to our senior year."

Nakikinig ang lahat sa gymnasium, may mga estudyante, magulang at mga staff ng paaralan. Dahan-dahan akong naglakad papunta sa upuan ko. Naka-focus kasi lahat sa kanya. Late na ako pero at least, naabutan ko ang message of gratitude niya. Proud girlfriend here! Naks!

"Second, I thank our dear teachers. Thank you for the knowledge and patience. Your salaries are not enough payment for the wisdom that you shared to us and there is no such thing that can pay you for those efforts. Your teachings are priceless."

Nakatayo siya sa likod ng podium. He's wearing his poker face and using his monotone. Grabe, recognition day pero nakabusangot.

Nakita ko agad ang upuan ko sa gitna nila Ethan at Kurt na nasa second level. "Kita mo na, sweetie? Triple ang simangot ngayon, ang alam niya kasi hindi ka talaga pupunta." Natatawang saad ni Kurt. Kaninang umaga ang graduation nila. Si Ethan as expected, valedictorian, sa dami ba naman ng extra curricular activities niya. At itong si Kurt naman ay second honorable mention. Oh di ba? May tinatagong talino pala to. Sa Telford University sila magka-college.

"Third, I thank our beloved parents. You are the foundation that made these young men come to this day. I know you weren't there beside us for the whole time we stayed here but your simple calls motivate us to wake up every morning and learn.

"Most of all, I want to thank my fellow students. Thank you for being the family-- my family here. We were together through the sleepless nights and even the success each of us had. Let's congratulate ourselves that we came to this day."

Ngayon ay nakatitig ako sa lalaki na nasa gitna ng entablado. He's neatly wearing the uniform and his hair was styled. Kagabi nag-away kami, sabi ko kasi hindi ako makakapunta ngayon. Nagtatampo, kasi daw pumunta siya noong recognition ko pero ako hindi. Nag-promise kasi ako na makakapunta ako. Kaso lang si Kuya Rand, na dapat ay kasama ko paunta dito, ay nagka-emergency sa kompanya at kailangan niyang mag-out of town, busy rin si Kuya Rain kaya wala talaga akong kasama. Ang sabi ko hindi ako makakapunta, ayon nagtatampo. Sinusumbat niya pa na minsan na lang nga kami magkita, hindi pa daw ako makakapunta. Ang drama nga eh, bakasyon na kaya.

I didn't gave up though. Actually, Robin should accompany me and leave at eight. Ang kaso, habang bumabyahe kami at palabas pa lang ng city proper, tumawag sa kanya ang kaklase niya. Nagka-problema daw sa kanilang presentation para bukas. Bumalik kami at kailangan ko pang pilitin yung dalawang kuya ko para payagan akong mag-commute at sa huli ay pumayag din. It took me time to convice the van's driver to bring Snowball. Malaki na kasi si Snow, it's a good thing I brought extra money and I used it to bribe the driver, buti na lang din behave si Snow. Late na ako, buti na lang naabutan ko pa rin siya. Baka tuluyan nang magtampo kasi dapat ngayon din kami magse-celebrate ng monthsary namin.

And yes, I am proud to say na five months and four days nang kami. Sa loob ng limang buwan na yon, tatlong beses lang kami nagkita simula noong naging kami. Una, noong birthday ko biglang nagpakita sa bahay at dinala ako  sa isang exclusive na restaurant at ang loko, nandoon na pala sila kuya at pamilya niya. It was my birthday celebration and at the same time 'meet the family', nakakatuwa nga si Vlad, ang nakakabatang kapatid ni Vince. Pangalawa ay noong recognition ko last week, sinurpresa niya ako ulit at sumama siya sa aming celebration. Pangatlo ay noong malapit na ang Christmas. Sa bahay siya natulog pagkagalung niya sa school at umuwi sa kanila pagkatapos ng tatlong araw. Ngayon ang pang-apat. I know you're asking how we survived, well, it's just a matter of faith. Gabi-gabi, walang mintis, tinatawagan niya ako o kaya skype and we would occasionally text or chat each other while we're at school. We talked about what happened to us for the whole day. Sa kanya ko nga nilalabas ang inis ko sa Algebra, minsan naman tinuturuan niya ako. Mostly, we would just listen to each other's breathing and when the night is getting deeper we would just say our good night's and I love you's.
