"Bubble, I choose you!" "Incineroar, lets go!" Bubble was my last pokemon, and the fact that Logan was using his Incineroar made me feel a bit nostalgic. Logan only had Incineroar and what was probably a Dusknoir left, so it reminded me of my very first battle.
"Incineroar, start it with bite!" "Bubble, disarming voice!" Incineroar tried to run forward and use the move, but she couldn't handle the sound of disarming voice. "Now, Bubble, use aqua jet!" "Incineroar, darkest lariat!" Both pokemon charged at each other, Bubble cloaked in water and Incineroar spinning around like a tornado, her arms out.
When the two pokemon collided, though, it was Bubble who had won. In our first battle, Incineroar was a Litten who was easy to beat. It was the same in this battle, and now Logan only had one pokemon left.

"Dusknoir, lets go!"

When Dusknoir came out of its pokeball, memories of my first battle came flooding into my mind. The Duskull I underestimated at first was now a fully grown Dusknoir, who was ready for battle. The time had finally come.

The true battle had begun.

It began with Dusknoir using shadow ball. Unlike in the first battle, though, Bubble dodged. "Now, Bubble, sparkling aria!" "Dusknoir, use confuse ray!" Bubble used her move, but then got affected by confuse ray. I watched as I saw small bags form under her eyes. She looked around, wondering what was going on.

After a few minutes, Bubble was still confused. Every time she tried to hit Dusknoir with an attack, she always went the wrong way. Meanwhile, Dusknoir was hitting Bubble right and left with shadow ball, angering me, because Bubble was low on health now.

"Bubble!" I shouted. "You need to snap back into your senses! We can't lose, not after how far we've come! You need to show Dusknoir that you're stronger than him! Get up! Get up and snap out of your confusion!" Bubble paused, her confused eyes still looking at me.

She then shook her head and looked up at Dusknoir with determination. "I'm NOT going to let my Primarina lose to you," I reminded Logan with determination and anger. "Now, Bubble, lets go!" With that, I took my Primarinium Z out of my pocket and put it on my Z-ring. "Dusknoir, shadow ball again!" Dusknoir threw a large shadow ball at Bubble, but she dodged. I then made the pose for Bubbles Z move.
"Now, Bubble!" I shouted, ready to finish the battle once and for all. "OCEANIC OPERETTA!!!" Bubble stood up on her tail and summoned a huge orb of water above her head. As she sang, she seemed to push it towards Dusknoir. When the orb fell, she slammed into Dusknoir with full force.

The Z-move ended, and Dusknoir was weak, but still standing. The audience fell completely silent as Bubble charged into Dusknoir, causing it to slide backwards.

She then did it again.

And again.

And again.

When she did it for the fifth and final time, she used her full power and landed a huge blow on Dusknoirs gut, causing it to spit out a bit of blood and saliva, then faint.

The audience instantly went wild, and then Steve began to shout something into the microphone. "Dusknoir is unable to battle! This means that we have a winner, along with a new champion of Alola, Millie Cynthia Chideson!" I couldn't help but smile and laugh as the entire audience cheered for me, and Steve came down and handed me a trophy made from 8-karat gold. I felt tears roll down my cheeks as Bubble and I laughed and cheered.

Wanting some peace and quiet, I began to walk back to my room when I saw Logan sitting near the front desk, his head hanging down. I frowned and began to walk back to my room until I heard him sniff. I realized Logan was crying when I saw two tears drip onto his lap.
"Millie...?" Logan sniffed. "Is that...you?" "Yes," my reply came out with a bit of attitude. "Well...I...I need to ask you a favor..." he told me as he stood up, but continued to look down. What rude insult was Logan going to throw at me this time?
"I want you...to be my friend." Logans favor completely surprised me. He looked up at me, his face pink and his eyes full of tears. I continued to listen to him, but I didn't let my guard down yet.
"I'm sorry for teasing you for all these years. I didn't mean anything I said to you before you left! I've finally realized how strong you've become, and I'm not saying this as a joke! Just...please, Millie...be my friend! I promise I'll never bully you again, and if we can't be friends..." Logan paused, then sniffed and looked down, trying to wipe away his tears with his arm. "...then at least forgive me for all the pain I caused you over the years!" I was still so surprised I wasn't sure what to do. What if this was just a dumb joke?

But at the same time...what if it wasn't?

After a moment, I decided to believe Logan. I put my hand on his shoulder, smiling. He looked up at me, his eyes still full of tears. "Of course I'll be your friend," I told him with a smile. My response made Logan smile, as well, and wipe away his tears. "Thanks, Millie."

That night, after throwing a huge party in Malie City, Logan and I packed up our bags and went to the port to catch a boat home, back to Melemele island. Yvonne, Lillie, Gladion and I said our goodbyes, and though they were sad to see me go, they promised they would visit me.

As Logan and I sat on the boat together and looked at the bright stars, I couldn't help but smile at the amount of things I had accomplished during my island challenge.
