Vince stayed for a while inside the comfort room. Some were dancing on a place lighted by dazzling disco lights. People were chatting, drinking and having fun.
He might just be the only one who wasn't celebrating with the newly engaged couple. Oh, there was Jace, too. At least, he wasn't alone. He was very angry with Rohan as of the moment. Sinisira kasi nito ang mga plano niya. How dare him! He was about to go back to their table when he spotted Jace in the dark corner of the garden, near the comfort room, and away from the crowd. Nilapitan niya ang babae. She was crying.
"Why are you here, Jace?" concerned na tanong niya. Tiningala siya nito. He saw her eyes washed with tears. "You'll ruin your makeup." She might be looking like a panda now with her smeared mascara and eye liner. He took his hanky from his pocket and stuck it to her face.
This is killing me." She choked a sob.
He sighed. "Iiyak ka na lamang ba rito sa isang tabi? Why don't you go and talk to Rohan? Come on, Jace. Stop being a coward."
Napailing ito. "That woman whom he picked to marry deserved Rohan, Vince, not me. And they looked happy. Bagay na bagay silang dalawa."
Napatiim-bagang siya. "Wallowing in insecurities won't help you, Jace. Go and chase your own happiness. The chance is slipping away. Come on!" She wasn't helping him. "Nagkita na ba kayo ni Rohan?"
She stiffened. Maya-maya ay tumango ito. "But he didn't seem to care at all that I was even here attending his engagement party. He didn't care about me anymore, Vince. Mukhang wala na ring kuwenta ang pagpunta ko rito. He seemed already happy with Diadem. Sad but he already moved on."
He fumed in annoyance. Well, if Jace had already surrendered, definitely, he wasn't giving up yet. He still hadn't started ruining the engagement party. Oras na para maghasik ng gulo.
"Hindi pa huli ang lahat, Jace. Come, let's team up together and ruin this damned engagement party." He offered his hand to her.
Tiningnan nito ang kanyang kamay. She was reluctant. He helped her stood up.
"Where the hell are Rohan and Diadem?" he said in a stiff voice when he held Jace's elbow.
"They are on the dance floor and are having a great time," bahaw na sagot nito.
Great! He smirked. The show was about to begin on the dance floor.
"Come, let's join them..."
