Ever heard of the term 'Bridezilla'?

I can see one in front of me. Violet Anderson-- soon-to-be Parker. It's her and Josh's wedding day today and to say she's been tensed is a understatement. She's been shooting questions at all of us, nonstop. I, Jen, her mother, Victoria and her cousin, Blair. We've been in this room for almost an hour now and not once has she asked us something sensible. She has an annoying talent of asking absurd questions. The list of her what-ifs was endless.

What if I faint while walking down the aisle?

What if I mess up my vows?

What if his ring doesn't fit his ring finger?

What if our relationship goes downhill after the marriage?

What if we stop loving each other after a few years?

What if he or I say the wrong name at the altar?

"What if he and I end up getting a divorce?" Came another stupid question from our dear bridezilla's mouth. Seriously? She hasn't even worn her wedding dress yet and she has started thinking about the possibility of a divorce.

"For the love of God, if you as much as even utter the words 'what if', this whole evening, I'll divorce you." Jen said and Violet quickly stopped talking.

"Violet, honey, it's your wedding day and you're nervous, I get it but what is up with all these nonsense questions. What is wrong with you?" Violet's mom asked as she sat across her and cupped her face in her hands. Violet closed her eyes and shook her head sideways.

"It's just... I'm nervous, as you said, and I really want everything to work out. I don't want anything to happen that will jeopardise this day or our relationship." She tried explaining but her voice started breaking a little.

"What makes you think it won't work? Are you unsure about you both?" Victoria's expression clearly screamed the word 'panic', obviously. Who would want her daughter's wedding day being spoilt.

"What? No! He loves me and I love him more than anything." Violet quickly said with widened eyes and panicked voice.

"Then what is the problem?" Victoria questioned.

"I'm... I'm not sure if-" Violet let the sentence hanging and looked at Jennifer, biting her lower lips. She has chewed on it so much that it has turned red. Shortly, she drew blood out of them due to all the nibbling.

"You what, V? And for the love of God, stop biting your lips and apply this," Jen said as she handed her some lip balm. She took it from Jen and applied it on her lips.

"I'm not sure if I could ever make him happy," Violet said. A small layer of moisture started covering her eyes.

"Of course, you can. Why do you say so, honey?" Victoria asked and wiped the tear which rolled down Violet's cheek.

"Mom, you don't know him. He has been hurt so much. He has been through so much. I see him and all I want to do is hold him in my arms and take away all his pains and sufferings. I want to fill him with love and happiness. I want to make him forget everything that went wrong in the past. I just don't know how to do it." She completed and threw herself into her mother's arms.

"Oh, my Violet." Her mother said and embraced her, stroking her hair and kissing her head.

"Assure her, Jen. Make her believe, she can," I whispered into Jen's ears. "What? No, I can't." She said but I nudged her in her ribs. "The both of us know you can. Go."

Jen took the seat Victoria was sitting on previously. She held Violet by her shoulders and looked her in the eyes.

"You know I don't usually lie, right?" Jen questioned and Violet nodded her head. "So believe me when I say, YOU CAN," Jen emphasised the words 'you can'.

"Remember when we were at Alex and Kev's wooden cabin during the thanksgiving weekend and you said you'll mend my naïve brother's broken heart one day?" Violet nodded her head and a small smile grazed my lips at the memories of that trip.

"You promised us and you fulfilled it. You indeed did mend my brother's heart. You know after what happed with Ashleigh and after what pain Josh and I've been through, I never thought I'd live the day to see his wedding. I never thought he'd let any girl in but he did. He asked a girl out, he had a girlfriend, he let a girl in, he proposed and he's getting married in 3 hours. All of this happened just because he met an amazing, bubbly, sarcastic, funny, beautiful and loving girl. That girl is you my dear, Violet Anderson. You know I would've laughed at a person's face if he'd say, Josh will get married one day but look, today he is actually tying the knot. I know I've never said this before but I'm so so thankful for you. You've not only proved this to Josh that he is capable of being loved but you've also proved that a bad road doesn't mean your journey is over. You've taught him so many things and you've got to teach him so much more. So I suggest you stop crying right now and start getting ready. Geez, we've lost almost 20 minutes." Jen said and all of the ladies standing in the room except for her and Violet started laughing.

I walked upto Violet and knelt before her. I wiped her stray tears and cupped her cheeks.

"You wanna start with your hair? I think we really need to redo it and same for your makeup," We were down with her hair and makeup but now it's all ruined. For her hair we've chosen simple middle-part straightened with soft curls at the end. It shan't take too much time as only the curls have been loosened. Her makeup is whole another story. We need to redo it from the scratch.

"I'm ready to get married." Violet said after sipping some water.

"You heard the woman. Peal. Chop. Devil." Jen said clapping her hands just like Courtney Cox did in F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

"Did you just quote Monica Geller at the such an event?" I asked and she gave me a wink. I rolled my eyes and started working on Violet's hair once again.
