The instructions were stated quickly, and Midoriya managed to hold back his excited mumbling about how amazing it was that Present Mic was the announcer. He had been training on that too — whenever he started mumbling he forced himself to stop and think about it instead of saying it. That didn't worsen his memory though: as Shigaraki had said, it was 'just a habit of an overthinking nerd'.

They made their way onto the fields: too bad Bakugo got another field, he really wanted to demonstrate his quirk to him. Maybe it was for the better though...As unlikely as it may seem, Midoriya felt like his own excitement about sharing his quirk while it was in action and Bakugo would directly be watching him and would express his shock in front of others would only grow. Maybe he was a bit of a sadist? That word didn't sit right with him, but he couldn't help smiling at the thought of Bakugo wanting to kill him once he shows off his new power.

Okay. Maybe he was a masochist, not a sadist? He had no clue.

"Right, lets start! Go, go go! There are now countdowns in real..." Midoriya stopped listening and started to run towards the simulated city, feeling extremely pumped up. He ran next into an ally that he knew would have robots, since it was wide enough for the robots to pass safely, and ran through, letting his right hand with the glove on glide against the surface of the wall. He felt energy gather into his hand and smiled as he let it pass to his feet, increasing his speed.

It wasn't even a minute before he found 3 robots standing together in the back of the buildings. They all turned to him, and Midoriya ran, jumping from side to side as Toga had taught him. Luckily, the place wasn't too dusty, and his sneakers (which had special rubber bands that helped him push off the surface easier and to gather more electricity with each turn) immediately showed their usefulness as he began to dodge with ease despite jumping from walls to the floor to another wall again.

Нe dodged the attacks easily and punched a robot right into its head, breaking the machine. He recognized it as а 2 pointer, and started to add the points together as he continued to take down the robots.

He ran throughout the back allies, gliding his hand across the wall to gain more energy, enhancing his speed and strength.

2...4...7...8...9...11...14...18...19...21...24...28...30...

He panted as he continued to count the points in his head again, trying his best to get them right.

46 points... Midoriya thought proudly. Never had he considered he'd manage to pull a score like that. He just hoped that he'd be able to pull off beating even more robots to get a score just below, or even better, above Bakugo's, despite the small possibility (quirk or no quirk, Bakugo was still more experienced, and Midoriya knew better than to expect getting a score better than him so soon). I wonder how many points Kacchan has... Midoriya couldn't help but wonder, even more anxious and excited at the thought of beating Bakugo.

Midoriya suddenly stumbled to the side as he the earth shake. He looked around, checking to see if any of the buildings were about to collapse on him. Luckily, that wasn't the case, but the earth continued to shake furiously, and Midoriya slammed himself against the wall for balance. He then saw a shadow cast over him, and he looked to see what the gigantic thing that had began to cover the rest of the area he could see in front of him was.

He couldn't help but stare in disbelief at what was now towering above him.

The zero pointer was a huge robot. It might not look intimidating, but its dimensions were. Before he knew what he was doing, he activated his quirk and ran to the central part of the city where the robot was standing and examined him with the even more shock as he realized that he was even larger than how he saw him when a hundred or so meters away.
