Midoriya made his way home and managed to smile at his mom, Inko, who was cooking something good-smelling in the kitchen.

"Welcome home, Izuku!" Inko called out happily. Midoriya couldn't help but smile a more genuine smile as he saw his mother happily getting her mind off things by cooking. Of course, he wished he could comfort her himself, but he also knew that she didn't want him to worry about her, and so he held back, instead taking off his shoes and walking up to his mom, kissing her cheek, before glancing at the stove.

"Hey Mom. What's for dinner?" Midoriya greeted as he smiled at the other buoyant greenette.

"Your favorite!" Inko replied cheerfully as she winked at Midoriya. Midoriya smiled and couldn't help but chuckle. Even when he was in a bad mood, and do note that his mom didn't know, she could always make him feel better. Is this some sort of mother instinct that does this? He thought to himself.

"Awesome! I'll do my homework first though..." He replied as he quickly hugged his mom, enjoying the feeling of yearning of the hug slowly melting into the hug, and Inko smiled at him soothingly, caressing his hair for a few seconds, before Midoriya pulled away and walked upstairs to his room. He heard his mom starting to hum a melody  and smiled again, and kept on smiling as he made his way to his room, feeling truly happy for lightening up his mom's mood.

His mom was the only thing that made him truly happy...Not counting heroes and quirk analysis of course, but those were more hobbies that he enjoyed, rather than something he loved. To Midoriya, his mom was his hero, and he loved her more than anything and anyone in the world. Despite the fact that she no longer has a husband, and sometimes spends her day alone at home without anyone to talk to, or anything to do, she always smiles and makes him feel better, even when he's in an already good (enough) mood after managing to avoid Bakugo all day.

He sat down to do his homework, and was about to start reading, when something caught his eye and he stopped. He slowly moved his head and then his eyes towards the window to see the same man from the alley smirking at him from the other side of the window. Midoriya sat there, shocked, until the man started to wave at him playfully. Midoriya was stumped. I'm probably just hallucinating...Let me just– He walked up to his window. The man raised an eyebrow as Midoriya stared at him for another good 5 seconds, before finally closing the curtains. No. I'm not dealing with this today. I'm tired. I'll just go do my homework like any other kid my age and... He turned around to see the man sitting in his chair studying his 'Hero Analysis for the Future' notebooks. Midoriya couldn't help but let out a shriek, causing the man to look up at him.

"What's that face for? I don't like being ignored, so I had to get a friend of mine get me here." Midoriya stood there, stumped, not knowing what to do. His mind raced on what he could do and he reached for the extra pillow inside his open closet, and threw it at the man in a weak attempt to be able to run away.

Right as he jumped towards the door, watching Dabi in fear, the man simply put out his hand, and the pillow was turned to ash in a matter of a second. Midoriya stood there for another few seconds, and Midoriya stumbled in shock as Dabi's eyes quickly darted towards Midoriya. Midoriya stopped, a few steps from the door, and gulped down the knot in his throat.

"Yeah, I know, seeing such a handsome face in your room is pretty overwhelming. This isn't the first time I'm having a pillow thrown at me after appearing in their room." The man poked his cheeks and moved them causing it to look like he was smiling. Midoriya just blinked, not sure what was going on. The man opened one of his eyes to see Midoriya's reaction, seeing nothing but a boy with a slightly agape mouth and a stumped expression. He sighed and let out a small chuckle, closing his notebook as Midoriya finally gathered the courage to speak, frowning at the villain as he tried to keep himself from screaming in terror.
