Be it as it may
there are the lessons
I wish I knew before
Years and years of hardship
I wish I knew them
before I asked
for something moreSo in my years
in all my favored toil
I realized things
I never would have
found in the pallid soilA complaint and
a thousand more on its way
It is just unfair that I
have to live through this
But is like ever really fair?
It is not; so I just
have to suck it upBecause I have had
to fight for myself
because if I don't
then, no one willI have had to love myself
because if I don't
then, no one willI have had to forgive myself
because if I don't
then no one willNow, I will have
to live for myself
because if I don't
then, no one will
