Uplifting sorrows
do exist in this world
—the knowledge of your
own mortality tells you
to live as though it's your lastUplifting sorrows
do tell us that we should
be living the best we can
because we only have
one shot at itUplifting sorrows
—like knowing that not
all you wanted will be
given to you— tells you that
certain things can destroy
you from the inside outUplifting sorrows
do exist in this lonely world
like how we cannot
please everyone or
couldn't get anyone to stay
—they tell you to treasure
every moment in the presentUplifting sorrows
do help us remember
that there are still good
in a world propagated
by darkness and evil
like how we live just to
suffer and die in vain
tells us to keep being
the good that would
let people live even
just for a momentUplifting sorrows
—like knowing that not
every man's happiness
and destiny is your own—
tells you that your time will come
—or might never, at all—
and that you could
spend the rest of your life
uplifting others because
that may be where
you will find your own
fulfillmentUplifting sorrows
tell you that there is
more to love
than just being hurt
and left alone
there is more to self
than just evil and filth
there is more to life
than just living and dying
