Chapter 13: Palace

 Latil's  POV 

"Get on your knees. Pay respect to the Emperor." 

I don't know who he is but it seems like he's a high-ranking nobility because of the suit he's wearing. I turn my gaze to someone he's been ordering to pay respect to but these two didn't even give a damn if it creates tension between us and the people around here. 

Sheesh. Why are they being stubborn in front of the Emperor? We might die in this case.

Nasa palasyo kami ngayon ng Castillan Kingdom dahil sa hindi ko malamang dahilan bigla na lamang may dumalaw sa amin kanina na isang grupo ng knights at ilang dosenang sundalo ng palasyo at mukhang nasa elite rank pa ang mga ito dahil mukhang trained at malalakas ang pinadala galing sa direktang pangangalaga ng Royal Family.

Noong lumabas kami ng bahay ni tanda ay sinusubukan nang kausapin ng mga knights si Lady Yveria pero parang wala itong narinig dahil patuloy parin ito sa pagpupunas ng bagay na sinasabing baril ni Ms.Aya kahit napapalibutan na ito ng mga knights at soldiers. Muntik pa ngang himatayin si Tanda ng makita ang isang batalyong bisita na ito. Ms. Aya immediately intervene, sya na lang ang kumausap sa mga ito.

And until now I don't know why they brought us here in this palace. Alam kong hindi ito dahil sa utang ni tanda dahil binigyan na ako ng sapat na ginto ni Lady Yveria para ma-settle ang mga yon. Hindi ko alam kung saan nya kinuha ang madaming gold na yon pero tinaggap ko na lang din para matahimik na ang kaluluwa ko sa pag-iisip na baka ipapatay kami ng mga inutangan nito.

"You insolent commoner! You are in front of the Castillan Kingdom's Emperor. You must know your place and get on your knees now!" 

Lumapit na ito sa dalawa ( Yve and Aya) at nilabas ang espada nya. Nagulat ako kay Lolo ng bigla na lang itong tumayo galing sa pagkakaluhod nito sa tabi ko at inihinarang ang sarili sa matulis na espadang deretsong nakatutok sa walang pakialam na si Lady Yveria. 

"Lolo!" I shouted but he stood still in front of the lady. Sh*t. Napayuko na lang ulit ako ng magtama ang tingin namin ng nobility na may hawak ng espada.

"I beg for your mercy, Your Majesty. My Lady didn't know what she's doing. Please pardon her, Your Majesty."  Nakita ko sa peripheral vision ko na pinagdaop pa nito ang palad nito while asking for forgiveness to this man sitting on the throne.

I can't see their expressions dahil hindi ko na binalak pang itaas ang tingin ko. That nobility might hurt my Lolo if I make a move. Nobles and Royals' attitude never change. 

Naikuyom ko na lang ang aking kamao sa pag-iisip na wala man lang akong magawa sa sitwasyong ito.

Aya's POV

This is bad. Lady Yveria is a ticking time bomb now. Time is very precious to her especially this time, we shouldn't be getting threats here just because we don't kneel down.

 My Lady is still wearing a cloak kaya walang nakakakita ng mukha at emosyon nito. She was cold before and after that bird incident, she became colder.

Sigh.

It feels like mas humirap syang kausapin ngayon. Nakatayo lang ito na para bang walang nangyayare sa paligid nya. Napansin ko rin na parang anlalim ng iniisip nito wari ba ay may inaanalyze na kung ano.

Dang it!

I have to think of something. Ugh. Just why the hell did they call us here? To brag about their Emperor?

Damn it. 

My Lady doesn't care about who's the leader or the higher-ranking officials in this world. She will never bow to anyone kahit pa katapusan na ng mundo at kanina lang bago kami dalawin ng mga taong to, she told me that there is one thing I should remember from that moment.

"Never get down on your knees and bow to anyone who lives in this world."

I don't know why she said that but I promise to never obey any order that didn't come from her so that's an easy thing. But to hell, I would ever expect to be shouted at just because I didn't get down on my knees?

Oh man...this guy is like pointing his own sword on his own neck. Hays I would love to see his blood on my hand but Lady Yveria said Satie Empire is our target so I'll let this one go. 

I was about to step forward when the Emperor suddenly intervened.

"Put your sword down Duke. They might be shocked to be called into a palace all of the sudden. You might scare them, put it down." 

Ngayon lang ba nagprocess sa kanya na tumataas na ang tension sa paligid? Or he was also waiting for us to pay respect.

Magrereklamo pa sana ang Duke ngunit di na lang ito pumalag ba dahil utos na ito ng hari.

Masama ang tingin na umalis ang nobility na ito pagkatapos ay bumalik narin si Mr.Carrion sa tabi ni Latil na nakayuko parin. 

Sa mundong ito ang dugong maharlika palagi ang may advantage at pag commoner automatic na ituturing kang basura o mahina. How foolish.

I step forward para matapos at makaalis na kami sa palasyong ito. There is so much for my lady to do, she might be calcuting time now and how she can destroy this place to leave.

"I understand that you want us to kneel down but my master won't ever do that even if you declare a war now."

"My master is not in a good condition. I hope you don't mind discussing the reason why you called us here in your palace."

I might sound like an arrogant person kaya't nagulat ang mga taong ito na direkta ko itong sinabi sa minamahal nilang emperor. But the heck I care, this palace will turn into ashes if this people take more time to let us know why are we here.
