Third Person's POV
Duke Vanaxin returned to what he was doing habang si Cadmus naman ay natameme sandali.
"You have 5 seconds to talk, Aidan Satie." The Duke warned Cadmus.
Cadmus instantly sat properly and cleared his throat.
"Kartara is alive and I found her." Mabilis pa sa tibok ng puso na sabi nito. Agad naman nitong nakuha ang atensyon ng Duke , kung kanina ay nakatingin lang ito sa mga papeles ngayon ay nakuha na nitong iangat ang kanyang tingin kay Cadmus.
He stared seriously at the owner of the infamous information guild. Napalunok na lang si Cadmus dahil sa nakakatakot na titig ng Duke.
'Basta tungkol talaga kay Kartara kahit anong ginagawa nitong masungit na to lilingon at lilingon ito eh.' Cadmus thought at kung hindi lang nakatingin sa kanya ang Duke ngayon ay umismid na ito.
"Well ah she visited me... can't you stop staring at me like you're going to murder me? Sasabihin ko na nga diba?" Reklamo ni Cadmus. Kumalma naman kahit papaano ang Duke and leaned his back sa sandalan ng upuan.
'Basta para sa babaeng yon nauutusan tsk. Tsk. Favoritism.' Reklamo ni Cadmus sa kanyang isipan.
"Here's the story. You know that I've been looking for--- Cut it. I don't want to hear your complaints and that sh*tty story of your life." Pagputol ng Duke sa panimulang kwento ni Cadmus.
In Cadmus' mind, he's cursing the Duke nonstop. He calmed himself bago magsalita ulit.
"Two days ago, she came to me personally. I didn't even notice that she arrived because one of my clients kept on shouting. She's in good condition but her mana is gone. Gusto ko rin sana na malaman ang nangyari sa kanya but I think that would be insensitive since judging by how much she had lost, things must have been very painful. Marami pa akong gustong itanong pero mukhang nagmamadali siya dahil agad niya akong tinanong tungkol sa kundisyon ng Karsen Dukedom at pagkatapos nun she left instantly." Cadmus said, while the Duke silently listened.
"She must be here in the Empire's territory by now." Dugtong pa ni Cadmus
The Duke made no further comment. Instead, he stood up and quickly arranged the papers on his desk.
"Woah Woah. Where are you going? Marami ka pang gagawin diba? You might disappoint the Emperor if you left your paperwork just for a mere woman." Pagpigil ni Cadmus.
"Hey, hey, hold up! You know how ruthless the Emperor is lalo na ngayon na kagagaling lang sa pagkatalo--
Hindi na naituloy ni Cadmus ang kanyang sasabihin dahil nilagpasan lang siya ng Duke at derederetso itong tumungo sa pintuan ng silid.
"Call my secretary and let her do these." The Duke said. "And she isn't just a mere woman. Don't you dare call here like that again or else... you know what will happen to you." Banta nito, bago tuluyang lumabas sa silid.
The Duke doesn't care about anyone at this time, even though he will have to suffer the consequences of his abrupt action. His thoughts are filled with Kartara, and losing her again would be more terrible than receiving the Emperor's dismay.
Naiwan na lang na nakanganga ang informant sa loob ng mag-isa.
"Ahhhh what the f*ck just happened!? Am I your slave huh! Am I your slave!?" Sigaw nito kahit alam niyang hindi na sya maririnig ng Duke.
"Huhu I haven't even asked him if I could leave the guild now because the purpose of why it was established in the first place was to find her. The purpose has been fulfilled, uwahhh ano pang gagawin ko dun? I wanted to live freely again huhuhu." Cadmus emotionally said.
Yes, ang Information guild na pinamamahalaan ni Cadmus ay itinayo lamang dalawang taon na ang nakaraan matapos ang nangyaring aksidente sa pamilya ng Karsen. The Duke had a hunch na hindi pa patay si Kartara noon dahil alam niya na ang sunog na katawan na nakuha sa crime scene ay hindi kay Kartara. At dahil iilan lang ang taong nakakakilala kay Cadmus, Vanaxin urged him to start an information guild since he had the potential and aptitude to run it correctly without drawing the attention of the nobles. They covertly investigated the incident and searched for Kartara for two years, but they haven't found any leads. They didn't even find out that the Emperor of Satie was involved in the said accident because if they did Lucas Vanaxin would have turned his back on this Empire.
Ngayon lang, ngayon lang nagkaroon ng balita dahil si Yveria (na akala nilang si Kartara) na mismo ang lumapit kay Cadmus.
Cadmus is really a nephew of the Emperor and his real name is Aidan Satie. His mother married into one of the royal family's princes. Hindi kilala ng karamihan si Cadmus bilang parte ng royal family dahil ayaw sa kanya ng kanyang ama(which is the Emperor's brother) dahil hindi siya kasing talentado ng iba pa niyang kapatid, prinsesa, at princes. His mother died because of illness when he was 10 years old na nagpalala lalo sa lamat ng relasyon niya sa kanyang ama.
Tinago siya ng kanyang ama sa publiko at noong panahon na wala na syang malapitan o masandalan, he met the young master of the Vanaxin Dukedom. Iyon ay si Lucas Vanaxin na nga. They were still 15 years old that time and 10 years had passed.
They became friends and Cadmus treated the Duke like his own family. He even declared himself that he and the Duke are cousins. Kahit mukhang ina-alila siya ng Duke ngayon wala naman kaso yun kay Cadmus dahil marami din naman naitulong ito sa kanya. Sadyang mahilig lang talaga magreklamo at magdrama ang Cadmus na ito.
