"So, you see, Adam and Eve both didn't have a gender until they got kicked out of Eden. So, relationships were never originally man and woman. Adam and Eve were both physically identical..."

I'm currently in LGBT apologetics class. I love this class, I'm learning so much. I also love the teacher, Calvin Clark. He's a middle aged .

The way he teaches is entertaining, it's hard not to pay attention in his class. He seems passionate about this subject and none of the students hold back their questions. I find it amazing that we're all so comfortable here.

I chose this class to prove to my parents that I'm not a sin, I'm normal, and I'm not something to be ashamed of. What better way to show them that then through the thing that guides their lives.

"Alright, class, we'll continue our lesson on Sunday, you guys don't have classes tomorrow because every Saturday is a free day, Dean Higgins will elaborate more at lunch."

I closed out of my notes app on my phone and stared at the background picture. It was of my mom and I embracing. We both looked so happy, and so close.

We were happy, and we were really close... until I came out to her. I hoped it wouldn't matter. I thought out of everyone else, she would be the one who would understand. The one who would accept and love me regardless of my sexuality.

But I guess I was wrong.

"Hey, Devin! Right?" I looked up to the very attractive Quinn Grey, immediately forgetting about my mom.

"Uuuuh, um, yes, yeah, I'm Devin."

"I'm Quinn," she smirked, for a little too long, causing an awkward silence.

"Um, so, tomorrow, Saturday, when we go to the Capital mall, I was wondering maybe, you and I could go out to eat or something? Um, does Starbucks sound good?"

I was smiling like and idiot and probably red like a tomato. "Uh, yeah, that sounds good," I finally said, trying to sound as cool and casual as possible.

I left the room as gracefully as possible, trying not to make a fool of myself in front of Quinn.

Once I got out, I was ambushed by Tiffany.

"Sooo, what did Quinn want? Tell me everything!"

Lunch food was a bit disappointing today, but it was starving and it was better than nothing.

During lunch, Dean explained that on Saturdays we're aloud to go out to Capital Mall in Jefferson City. We had to sign up tonight during dinner. Only 60 campers can go so sign ups fill up fast. And the bus leaves at 6 am. Which means I have to wake up early.

"Welp, guess I'm not going. " I muttered stuffing another bite of apple sauce into my mouth.

"Oh, no, no, no, no. You. Are. Going," Tiffany objected, very loudly, attracting attention from the rest of our table.

"Why doesn't she want to come?" Tiny tilted her head, holding a pout. She was honestly really cute.

"Quinn Grey asked her out," Tiffany announced making Brittany turn her head, "The hot Butch?"

I nodded staring down at the uneaten crust of my sandwich.

"What? No. Way. You? Really?"

"What's wrong Brittany? Jealous?" Riley smirked at her bratty sister.

"No, I just think Quinn Grey can do a lot better than Devin."

We all collectively rolled our eyes at Riley's evil twin sister.

"Why don't you want to come?" Tiny asked still holding her pout.

"If I go, that means I have to wake up at 4am, and that's not physically possible for me."

"I think you should make an exception, you and Quinn would be so cute together." Mia shyly added in.

"Well, I think if she doesn't want to go she doesn't have to," Tiny frowned.

"Oh, my God! I'm so excited for you!" Eva was jumping up and down ignoring, Tiny's comment.

"What if we all went together as backup support? It'll be really fun!" Natalie offered.

The table was covered by a bunch of collective yes's especially.

Then Nicole smirked at me before she began to holler, "DEVIN AND QUINN!"

The other girls joined in, "SITTING IN A TREE!"

Quinn table was right next to us and everyone including Quinn turned to our table.

Her table started joining in, "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"

I want to to crawl into a hole and die. Quinn wasn't singing along she was staring right at me with an amused smirk. I kept trying to look away but my eyes kept finding hers.

Other tables started joining in, "FIRST COMES LOVE!"

I noticed Tiny sitting at our table uncomfortably. While the other girls were jumping up and down.

"THEN COMES MARRIAGE!"

Quinn was still looking at me. KILL ME NOW!

"THEN COMES DEVIN WITH THE BABY CARRIAGE!!!!!!"

The girls sat down giggling and laughing, "I hate you all," I said, still embarrassed.

"Aw, she's blushing." Natalie tickled my sides, making me squeal and try to push her away. I succeeded but fell off my seat.
