Imagine for Satanzwife and kind_louise

You gulp in fright as you stand outside your new school. You've always been shy and joining a new school was your worst nightmare. Plus you've heard this school wasn't exactly the best if you weren't good at making friends.

You start to sweat as you see the students stare. You walk into the reception and sign in. The receptionist points you to your homeroom and you head over there.

You walk in to see all the students in the class immediately turn to look at you. The teacher smiles and stands with you in front of the class.

"Class, this is the new student. Her name is Y/N. Be nice." He says. You give a halfhearted smile. The class starts talking, already losing interest in you. He teacher turns to you.

"Right, you can sit at the back, next to Jeonghan." He points to a seat at the back of the class next to a boy with longish blond hair. You walk down the middle of the class and sit next to him.

"Hi." You say. He gives you a nod and let's his hair fall down his face, creating a curtain between you both. You turn away from him, feeling slightly hurt.

The teacher writes on the board in front of the class.

"Okay class today we're doing chemistry. We'll be handling chemicals so make sure you wear goggles." He explains the rules and hands out different bottles of chemicals and goggles. "You'll be working with the person next to you, so both of you don't do something stupid."

You and Jeonghan stand up to start working. You sneak glances at him as he ties his hair back and puts the goggles on. You found that it was really hard not to stare at someone as good looking as him.

"Can you pass me that bottle?" He asks suddenly. He doesn't look at you as he speaks. Startled, you hastily put on your goggles and pass him the bottle of some blue chemical.

"Um, here you go." You mumble.

"Thanks." He says, quietly. He takes the bottle, still not looking at you. You blush crimson, in embarrassment. You got easily intimidated around guys, especially unfriendly ones.

"No problem."

You both become absorbed in your work for a few minutes, in silence. Suddenly there's a crash and he yells in pain, grabbing his hand. You look at his hand to see an angry red mark, where the chemical splashed on it.

"What's happened here?" The teacher comes. You snap into action.

"He's burnt his hand. He needs to see the nurse." You say, boldly. Jeonghan looks at you in shock, as if he didn't think you could speak that loud. He continues to groan in pain.

"Yes of course. You take him Y/N." The teacher instructs.

You nod and you and Jeonghan leave the room. You bite your lip, not sure where to go.

"It's this way." He says and you follow him down the corridor.

"How the hell did you manage to do that?" You ask. You sounded a little ruder than you meant to be, but you couldn't help feeling annoyed at his carelessness.

"I don't know! The bottle just slipped out of my hand." He snaps back.

You both arrive at the nurse and you knock loudly. You wait for a while but there's no answer.

"Let's turn back, she's not here." He says, but he grimaces as his hand turns even redder.

"No! You've got a chemical burn and you need medical attention." You try the door and it opens with ease. "Its open. We'll just do it ourselves."

You walk in and start to look for bandages and some disinfectant. You realize after a minute that he's still standing outside, staring at you.

"What are you doing? We need to get your hand under cold water." You say. He walks in and heads to the tap where he turns it on. He runs it under the cold water, looking relieved. You find bandages and sit on a chair next to the tap. He looks at you and you look back suddenely filled with confidence.

"You know, when I first saw you I thought you were one of those cliché shy girls. But you don't actually seem like that."

"Well, when I first saw you I thought you were a rude asshole." He looks at you, surprised and you roll your eyes. "You didn't look at me. Or say hi back." You mumble, feeling like a child

He laughs, a musical sound. You thought that, if he sung, he would have a beautiful voice.

"I'm sorry about that. I swear I'm not usually like that. Anyway, I was wrong about you. You seem more... Rebellious." This time its your turn to laugh.

"Oh shut up. Look, I need to wrap up your hand now." You say. He sits down next to you and holds out his hand, grimacing again.

You take his hand, gently. He bravely refrains from screaming in pain and stares at you as you dab disinfectant on his burn. You feel yourself getting redder.

"What you looking at?" You mumble.

"How do you know what to do?" He asks, sounding genuinely curious.

"My mum's a nurse... And I've always wanted to be one." You reply.

"Huh." You look at him and you see him smiling at you.

"I really am sorry you know. For not saying hi back. And for judging you too quickly." He says, quietly.

The room is quiet and you both look at each other for a moment. You shake your head and begin to bandage the burn.

"It's okay. And I'm sorry for calling you an asshole." You say and you smile at him.

Finally the bandage is on and you both leave the room, closing the door behind you. You're about to go back but he stops you by standing in front of you. He looks nervously at you

"Um, listen. I kinda feel bad about earlier when I snapped at you. And I really... I want to get to know you better. You're not who I thought you were and... You intrigue me. So, will you let me make it up to you? We could hang out sometime." He looks eagerly at you.

"Look, I barely know you. You could be a axe murderer for all I know." You reply, but you're still tempted to take the offer. He was cute, after all.

"Fair enough. I'm a man, I can take rejection." He says and steps back. He smiles but you can still see he's disappointed.

"No rejection. Just... As friends?" You say. He nods, but quickly steps in and takes your hand with his free hand. He kisses you on the cheek and whispers in your ear.

"Thank you. For helping me out." He says.

"No- no problem." His affection surprised you and you can barely get the words out. He pulls back but still stays close to you.

"Can you promise me one thing? Sometime in the future, you have to let me take you out. On an actual date. At least one day." He says. You roll your eyes at his persistence, but you also admired it.

"Maybe. It depends how you are as a friend." You reply.

"I won't forget that." He says and winks at you. He pushes a loose bit of hair out of his face and turns around and walks back to class.

You grin to yourself. Maybe this school won't be so bad after all.
