Imagine for Cherylling

You open the door to the café, the bell tinkling as you did so. The smell of freshly baked goods and coffee hit you like a punch to the face. You breathe it in and wave to your fellow waitresses, who were setting up the tables ready for opening. They were quite a bit older than you, in their late 30s but you got along with them so well.

"Hey, Y/N. You're early today." One of them calls out to you.

"I'm feeling especially helpful today." You say sarcasticly. They laugh and you crack a smile. You loved working here, despite the early hours.

"Well, I'm glad you're here. I heard there's an especially good looking group of boys visiting town and they'll be needing their coffee." Another one says.

"You hear too much." You reply. You go to the back room and pull on your apron. You walk back out and turn around in front of one of the waitresses. "Can you tie it for me?"

"Sure." She replies. As she's tying the strings together she speaks hurriedly. "She's right you know, I saw those boys the other day. They're a group or something but that's not the point."

"Then what is the point?"

"They're young and good looking. Everyone here but you is too old for them, so you'd better step up your game and slap some makeup on. You never know when they might walk in."

You laugh out loud and then back around. You tie your hair up in a messy bun and roll your eyes at her.

"Oh please. If they're as great as you say, they wouldn't look twice at me." You say to her and the others shake their heads in annoyance.

"Shut up girl, you're so pretty! Now flip the sign, we're officially open."

You do as you're told and within 10 minutes people were flooding in. You were kept busy, rushing around delivering coffee to each table. After a while, the bell tinkles and two boys walked in. They sit down in the window seat, laughing at some joke. You walk over, notepad in hand. You give them your brightest smile as they look up at you.

"Hi! Welcome, what would you like?" You say for the millionth time that day.

"Do you have chicken?" The one with the orangy hair asks, his voice soft and gentle. You look at weirdly but he just smiles.

"Um, no. We have coffee though." You say and the boy opposite him laughs.

"Told you Josh. Uh, two coffees please. And a muffin. Thanks, sweetheart." He winks at you and you refrain from rolling your eyes.

As you walk away you can still hear him and his friend speaking.

"See, thats how you do it Joshua."

"Pretty sure it didn't work Hansol."

"Did so."

You laugh a little to yourself and you walk away from their bickering. You walk around the counter and start making the coffee.

"What you smiling about?" The waitress from earlier says to you.

"Nothing. Just two guys arguing over there." You gesture to the two boys, Hansol and Joshua and the waitress gasps.

"Girl, you stupid! That's Hansol and Joshua from the group we were on about earlier!" She exclaims.

"Oh really? Cool."

"Don't 'cool' me! Get your ass over there and flirt your socks off. Do not let this opportunity pass. Hurry up and give them their coffee, they work too hard."

"They can wait like normal people. They aren't gods." You mutter.

The coffee finishes brewing and you grab a muffin off the rack. You arrange it neatly on a tray and bring it over to them. They were arguing again, but over something different.
