Imagine for worthnothing32

You sit alone at your lunch table, doing some early homework. You always sat alone at much due to the lack of friends you had.

You hear the loud chatter of the group and few tables down from you, the popular kids. They all laughed at the same time and you sigh in annoyance.

"Hey, you there! Girl!" One of the group calls out.

You look up to see them all staring at you. You feel the blood rushing to your cheeks, distrusting their kind smiles. The most popular of the group, Seokmin staring right at you. You always felt intimidated by him and this time was no different. You avoid his gaze and look at the other faces in the crowd.

"Where are your friends, girl? Did you scare them off?" The one who spoke up before says this and the whole crowd laughs. Seokmin smiles half heartedly but you could tell he felt uncomfortable.

You ignore them and return your gaze to the book, but you didn't carry on reading. You listen closely to the group to try and hear what they're saying.

"Oh wow, she looks so pathetic. Weren't we set that homework like, this morning?

"Jeez, talk about a nerd."

"I know right? No wonder she has no friends."

Tears spring to your eyes and you try to fight them back. Unsuccessfully. A single tear drops onto your page and you bend over to hide it.

"Guys leave her alone." You hear Seokmin say in a sharp voice.

You glance up to see him standing up above them looking annoyed. He glares at the one who first spoke.

"Hey dude, what the heck? She's just a nerd." The guy replies.

"She didn't do anything. You don't have to be harsh." Seokmim replies.

"So? I wasn't being harsh on purpose. I was just pointing out the truth. And the truth hurts." The guy smiles cockily and the group laughs again.

You sit up completely straight, watching the whole thing unfold. You weren't the only one as the other students were starting to pay attention too.

"Shut up. It's a lie and you know it. You're a-"

"Oh yeah? You see her over there? She's alone! She's always alone!" The guy says pointing at you. Your cheeks burn and you feel all the stares on you. "Can't blame anyone for not wanting to be her friend. She's so pathe-"

He doesn't finish his sentence as Seokmins fist makes contact with his nose.  There was a crack and the guys hand flies to his now bloody nose. You let out a gasp in shock. You never thought that someone like Seokmin could ever be violent.

The guy glares at Seokmin who was standing still, tense.

"You should not have done that." The guy says, his voice low.

He launches himself at Seokmin and they both start hitting and punching each other. The other students flock around them, screaming: "Fight! Fight! Fight!"

You stand up and make your way to the crowd. You push your way to the front and into the circle where the boys are fighting. You manage to get between them, somehow convincing yourself that you could stop them. You didn't want Seokmin to be hurt on your behalf, especially since he stood up for you.

"Stop! Seokmin, stop!" You shout at him.

They both stood to the side of you, glaring at each other. The guy with the bloody nose wipes it.

"Screw you Seokmin... I thought you were my friend." He says.

"I don't like people who make other people feel bad to make themselves look good." Seokmin replies.

At that moment a teacher comes into the room and yells for Seokmin and the other guy to his office. You gather up your stuff and follow behind. While they're both getting yelled at you wait outside for Seokmin to come out, determined to thank him.

Eventually they both come out. The guys nose had stopped bleeding and he glared at you as he left. You stand up in front of Seokmin and immediately start talking.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't want you to fight and I'm sorry you got hurt-" He cuts you off by laughing.

"It's okay, Y/N. I was happy to do it."

"Are you su- wait how do you know my name?"

"I'm obvervant. I pick up these things. Uh, that sounds bad. What I mean is, I noticed you."

He looks right at you and you feel you heart beating faster. You notice a cut on his cheek and you quickly run to the nearby bathroom.

"Where you going?" Seokmin asks.

"Stay right there." You reply.

You run in, get out a clean handkerchief, wet it and run back out. You see Seokmin sitting on the chairs outside the teachers office. You sit next to him and he looks at you, smiling sweetly. You start to gently dab at his cheek and he continues to look at you, staring at you, with a lost expression on his face. You decide to say something to break the silence.

"Thank you... You didn't have to do that for me." You say quietly.

"Yes I did. He was being an ass and i hate that... I didn't want you to be upset." He whispers that last part and his voice sends shivers through you.

"He was right though. I don't have any friends... It's kinda sad." You smile half heartedly, trying to lighten the mood.

He reaches up and takes your hand off of his cheek. He holds your hand loosely in his and looks you eagerly in the eye.

"Could... Could I be your friend?" He asks, almost shyly.

"Wha- my friend? What about your other friends?"

"They're not my friends... And they haven't been for a while. They're assholes and I don't want to be with them anymore. That's why I noticed you I guess. I was envious, that you got to be away from it all. I always saw you eating alone, laughing while reading. You always made me smile. You're... Different. Intriguing. I wanted to know you... And I still do."

He had leaned in close to you by his time. Your hands were still locked together.

"That's a really nice way of saying that you stalked me." You say and he burst out laughing.

Ever since then, you and Seokmin have spent every minute together. He was the best friend you could have ever asked for... And maybe, one day, something more.

I also apologize for the whole thing as it was pretty shiz.
