Imagine for danielle-lynn

You stand in front of your full length mirror, nervously adjusting your dress. You mutter to yourself as you pat your short pixie hair down.

"This was a dumb idea. A really dumb idea."

You had been set up on a blind date via your friend. She had been on at you for ages, ever since you'd broken up with your last boyfriend. You had no idea what this guy looked like or what his personality was. You only had your friend to go on and according to her, he was the definition of perfection.

"Yeah yeah, she said that about the last one." You murmur as you recall the memory.

You take another deep breath. You were always nervous for dates and not knowing the guy made it worse. Plus, and you knew it was stupid, you were scared of how he would react to your hair. You know most guys don't care about looks but some did and short hair sometimes put them off.

You check the time and wince as you realise you only had about half an hour to get over to the café where you were meeting him. You were half hoping you would get stood up but you shake your head defiantly and state at yourself in the mirror.

"C'mon, don't be such a wimp. It's only a guy. They're harmless."

You leave your apartment and walk down the street toward the café. You arrive there early which gives you just enough time to freak out for the next 15 minutes.

You sit in the corner, by the window and let your mind wander. You had just started thinking of all the possible bad outcomes of this date when the bell tinkle softly. You look up and clap eyes on the most angelic boy you had ever seen. He wanders around, looking around for something. You're so taken a back by him that your mouth hangs open and you totally forget why you're here. He finally sees you and approaches you cautiously.

"Hello." He says. You don't respond, still deciding whether he was real or not. "Uh, are you Y/N?"

"Hm? Oh yeah, hi. You must be..." Crap. His name completely slips from your mind as he locks eyes with you.

"Jeonghan. It's nice to meet you." He smiles pleasantly and holds out his hand. You take it and shake it once.

It was only then that you notice his hair. It was long and blond, tied back by a hair tie. You almost laughed at the irony and you look back at his face to see him having the same realization in his eyes.

"I like your hair." You blurt out as he sits down opposite you. You cringe inwardly, thinking that you probably shouldn't have mentioned it but he laughs.

"Thanks, I grew it myself. I like yours too." He smiles cheekily, looking directly at you. You blush and laugh along, already liking this guy.

"Thanks very much. I grew mine too, just not as much as yours." You almost instantly regretted saying it but it makes him laugh again, a sound that would never grow old to your ears.

He opens his mouth the answer but at the exact moment, a waitress walks over. You had both totally forgotten to pick something, so you both choose whatever sounds good, hot chocolate, and send her away.

Jeonghan leans forward and rests his head on his hands.

"So, tell me about yourself." He says, his eyes wide with curiousity.

And you do. In your nervousness you speak fast, telling him a lot about you, probably too much. But he doesn't interrupt at all and whenever you pause he always has a question waiting. When you finish it's his turn and he tells you about himself, and you find out you have and lot in common. The hot chocolate you both ordered arrived along with a little cake.
