"Y/N, do you need any help with that?"

Startled, you turn around. You had been fiddling with the scrap of your massive backpack, trying to adjust it so it wouldn't hurt your back. You were going on a 3 day camping trip with your school and they had insisted that you brought pratically everything that you own. Right now, you were standing along side the bus that was going to take you to the camping site.

The person who spoke to you was one of your best friends, Joshua. He's wearing a light grey hoodie, that was clearly to big for him, and blue jeans. He smiles down at you, an excited gleam in his eye. He had been talking about nothing about this trip for days. You got the impression that he was eager to go.

"Nah, I got it. Thanks though." You reply, smiling back.

You lean up against the bus and Joshua joins you. You both keep an eye out for your other friend, Wonwoo, who was late.

"Where is Wonwoo? He's taking forever." Joshua mutters, looking agitated.

"He might not turn up. He wasn't exactly eager about going." You reply. You check your phone to see if he had texted you but there was nothing.

"Yeah, I guess." Joshua turns and smiles at you. "At least we can have fun."

You roll your eyes at him, smiling. "Don't give up on him quite yet Josh, he wouldn't bail on us without saying anything."

Joshua opens his mouth the reply but then your teacher, who was leading the trip, speaks up.

"Okay boys and girls, all aboard the party bus!" He shouts enthusiastically. You and Josh cringe simultaneously.

"Let's go. I guess Wonwoo didn't want to come after all." Joshua shrugs and starts heading toward the bus' doors. You look around once more for Wonwoo before following him inside.

Before you get inside the bus, one of the teachers supervising the trip takes your back pack. You get inside and spot Joshua already sitting halfway down the bus. His face lights up when he spots you and he waves you over eagerly.

"Did you want the window seat?" He asks, gesturing to his own seat.

"Nah, I don't mind." You sit in your seat and slump against him, feeling disappointed by Wonwoo's absence.

"You sound upset." Joshua says into your ear.

"I can't believe he'd just bail on us. This was supposed to be a fun weekend with the three of us." You mutter bitterly.

"Hey, don't worry." Joshua hesitates slightly before gently resting his head on top of yours. You stiffen in surprise at the sudden affection but eventually relax. "We'll still have fun, remember?"

"Yeah, of course." You reply.

You both sit in a peaceful silence while all the other students find their seats on the bus. Many of them look at you and Josh, confused.

"Okay, is that everybody?" The teacher says brightly.

Everyone on the bus nods or says yes, except you and Josh. But before you could tell him about Wonwoo's absence, the main man himself bursts into the bus.

Wonwoo looks flustered and excited before his eyes lands on you and Josh. His smile fades immediately and he looks away, toward the teacher. You and Josh sit up and move apart a little. You feel your cheeks turn slightly pink and when you glance at Josh, you see his are too.

"Sorry, I'm late sir." Wonwoo mumbles.

"That's okay. Find a seat and we'll go." Says the teacher, patting Wonwoo on the back.
