Imagine for aiqiss

"I got three hundred." The man across the bar table slapped a wad of money onto the table top. He had a wispy beard and looked rather old to be doing this type of business. He leaned back in his chair and eyed you over, biting his lip.

You just smirked back at him. To others he might have seemed intimidating, but you'd seen worse than him in your life time. He didn't phase you.

"And you think the boss will be pleased with that?" It wasn't you who spoke but the boy beside you. His hand, which was previously placed on your thigh, pointed towards the wad of money. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees, giving the man across the table a smile. The mans confident facade faltered and you new you'd hit his nerve.

"Why wouldn't he? Three hundreds a lot." He spat out and the boy next to you just laughed.

"You might think it's a lot but it's not, you obviously haven't been in this business for long, am I right?" The boy glanced over at you and gave you a slight wink, putting his bottom lip between his teeth. You just smirked back.

"What's it to you, boy?" The man grabbed the wad of money and scrunched it into his trouser pocket.

"He has a name." You spoke for the first time and the man went quiet.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Mingyu,"  The boy, Mingyu, shouted over the noise in the bar and stuck out his hand for the man to take, but he ignored it. Mingyu's smile fell off his face as he pulled back his arm, "And to answer your question, it's nothing to me. I just don't want to upset our boss, three hundred is pretty crap. Anyway, it's nice meeting you, we have to inform the boss of how much you managed to get."

Mingyu pushed away from his chair and stood up, you followed his league, scraping you chair under the table. Mingyu leaned down close to the man and grabbed his drink, taking a long swig before slamming it down empty on the table top. Mingyu turned to leave when the man spoke.

"Like you could do better." He scoffed and Mingyu slowly turned back around to face him.

"Do you even know what you're saying right now?" You gave the man a face of disbelief. "Do you want to know why the boss sent us?" You gestured between you and Mingyu.

"It's because no one is better than us when it comes to robbing." Mingyu said in a low voice that sent shivers down the man's back.

"I don't believe you. Prove it."

You and Mingyu stared at the man. How stupid could he be.

"We don't need to prove anything to y-" You started but got cut off.

"Fine. Let's meet here in an hour. We'll bring money and it will definitely be more than your poxy three hundred." Mingyu kicked his chair under the table before grabbing your hand, dragging you away from the man and out the bar's back exit.

"What was that?" You snatched your hands out of Mingyu's and stopped walking. It was nighttime and the alleyway was quiet compared to the loud bar.

"He was being a narcissistic prick." Mingyu kicked at the loose rocks on the floor, "He thought he was better than us?" He pointed between the both of you and stepped closer so that his face was inches away from yours.

"But why did you bet?" You breathed in, trying not to be phased by his closeness.

"I have pride, Y/N. I need to protect it." He huffed and you felt his breath on your lips.

"I understand that, but now we need to get more than three hundred in an hour? That's impossible." Your eyes flickered down to his lips.

"Nothing's impossible." You gulped and he noticed your nervous state, "Am I making you uncomfortable?"
