What am I supposed to do?
How should I convince my parents?
There's only one way left.
I have to make mom witness each and every thing that I witness.

The next morning I came up with a plan.
"Mom, can you please stay at home with me today? I'm not feeling well.", I said.
"Yes, sure honey. I will", mom said with a soothing smile.

I lay down on my bed, pretending to be sick and asked mom to sit beside me, when suddenly we heard someone running on the terrace.
"It must be Hadley", I told mom.
"No. Lisa I can hear multiple footsteps.", she said.

"Should we check?", I asked.
We were about to take the stairs when we saw Hadley running around the hall.
I could see the color drain out of mom's face.
"Mom let's go to the terrace", I said.

Mom rushed upstairs and as soon as she opened the gate, we saw what I was expecting.
Nothing.
There was no one there.
"But I heard someone running on the terrace Lisa", she said in a state of confusion.

"Mom let's go downstairs", I said.
We were going back to my bedroom when we saw Hadley singing and hopping in the hall.
She was singing 'ringa ringa roses' and I could see her holding hands with someone who was probably invisible to us.

Mom asked Hadley, " Honey, who are you playing with?".
"Mom, this is Katie", she said looking into air.
It freaked me out but I was used to this. I'm sure mom wasn't.
She didn't say a word but her face said it all.

Not many unusual things happened that day. My bad luck.
It was around 5 in the evening when I asked mom whether she would like to sit with me in the verandah.

Once again I could feel the eerie environment.
I noticed the birds chirping while sitting on the banyan tree.
This tree, where four people were killed.
And once again there was a sound 'hushhh', and all the birds stopped chirping and flew away.

"Lisa, did you hear that?", Mom almost jumped off her seat.
"Yes, I did mom."
Hadley was ,as usual, playing in the backyard.
"Hadley, honey please come here", mom said.

Hadley came hopping, still holding someone's hand. Well that was someone for mom. I knew it was Katie.

"Hadley, was there anyone in the backyard or near the swings?", mom asked her.
"Yes mommy. Uncle John and Aunt Sarah are always here. See, there they are", she said pointing towards the gate.
