The girl you didn't Notice

Chapter 40

I was awake the entire night.
Father Edward was supposed to come at 12pm.
I got out of my bed, took a shower and went to check on Hadley.
She was sleeping.

Damn. She looks like an angel.
My baby sis has to go through so much of pain.
I wish I could let this happen to me, instead of her.

I went to Mom's room.
She was asleep too.
I just sat beside her and said "I love you Mom."

Dad, Granny and Grandpa were sitting outside in the Verandah.
"Hey, honey. You woke up early?", Granny asked me as soon as she saw me.
"Yeah" , was all I said.

Finally it was 12p.m.
Father Edward and Tara were really punctual, I must say.
"Hello Father", I greeted him with a smile.
He responded with a smile.
"Let's begin", he said.

Hadley was still sleeping.
That's strange. She doesn't sleep until this late.
Who am I fooling with! Only if this girl was my Hadley, I thought.

"Tie her hands to the bed", Father said.
By this time Dr. James had also come.
It was Father, Dr. James, Tara and me who were supposed to be present while the exorcism took place.
I was scared to death.

We tied Hadley's hands to the either side of the bed.
"What's your name?", Father asked.
"Hadley", she said.
Father Edward sprinkled some holy water at her and she screamed so loud that I had to cover my ears.

"It hurts.", was all she said.
"Reveal yourself", Father said again.

She started laughing.
"Yo soy el que vive en el infierno. El que adora a Satanás. WENDY." (I am the one who lives in hell. The one who worships Satan. WENDY.)

"In the name of The Father, of The Son and of  The Holy spirit, I command you to reveal yourself."

Her eyes turned pitch black.
She started mumbling something which I couldn't understand but definitely it wasn't Hadley's voice.

"Why are you troubling this girl?",Father asked.

"That's what I like to do"

"What do you want, you unclean spirit?"

"I want all of you to die"

Father Edward asked all of us to get the Bible so that we could recite the prayer with him.
Tara had already arranged the same.

Father wore the Holy cross and started the process of exorcism.

"Lord Jesus, have mercy on us.
Send her help from the Holy place.
Give her heavenly protection.
May the Lord be with you", saying this he sprinkled Holy water once again.

It didn't seem to have any effect on her. She sat with her head bent down.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
In the Name of the Father, 
and of the Son, 
and of the Holy Spirit. 
Amen. 

Most glorious Prince of the Heavenly Armies, 
Saint Michael the Archangel, 
defend us in our battle against principalities and 
powers, 
against the rulers of this world of darkness, 
against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.

Hadley was laughing.
"This is not gonna help Father", she said.

In the Name of Jesus Christ,
our God and Lord, 
strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin 
Mary, 
Mother of God,
of Blessed Michael the Archangel, 
of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul and all the Saints. 
and powerful in the holy authority of our ministry,
we confidently undertake to repulse the attacks and 
deceits of the devil. 
God arises; 
His enemies are scattered 
and those who hate Him flee before Him. 
As smoke is driven away, 
so are they driven; 
as wax melts before the fire, 
so the wicked perish at the presence of God. 

Hadley let out a loud scream and broke the ropes she was tied with.
What I saw would probably scar me for my entire life.
Hadley lay as if lifeless,  rising from her bed. All that I had seen in movies was happening for real.

We tried to pull her down but that seemed impossible.
