"Dad, it's okay", I said.
Meanwhile Grandpa went and held Hadley's hand to bring her inside. They were in the verandah when I saw Mom running towards her with a knife.

"Mom, stop! What are you doing?", I screamed.
"Molly, drop that knife for God's sake", Dad said.
Mom stood still, her head bent down.
"Mom?", I went close to her face.

And she rose, her face as white as snow, eyes as dark as they could be.
"I'm going to kill her", she said.
It wasn't mom's voice.

Dad and Grandpa stood there, their jaws probably dropping to the floor.
Mom pushed me aside and started walking towards Hadley.
"Hadley run!", I screamed.

She ran into the verandah while all of us were trying to stop mom.
Just then Granny came with a locket, that had a holy cross.
And she put it around mom's neck.

Mom just fainted.
"I should call a doctor", Dad said.
"For heaven's sake Luke we need a priest. Don't you understand?", Granny said.

"Mom, Please! I don't want to talk of any bullshit right now", saying this he went to call a doctor.

It took around half an hour for the doctor to come.
He checked mom's temperature and said, "She is suffering from high fever and there's a possibility that she also might be suffering from split personality disorder."

"Are you kidding me? She was speaking in a different voice!", Granny said.
"Well you might not be knowing that each human being has two vocal cords but uses only one to speak for the entire lifetime. Molly is sick and maybe she isn't using the same vocal cord.", the doctor said.

"Are you crazy? She fainted as soon as I put the locket around her neck", Granny argued.
"That can be a co-incidence Mrs Simon! We are living in the 21st century. You just cannot believe in ghosts.", the doc said.

"Mom, please.", Dad said.
"Fine, do whatever you want to do", Granny said and left.
The doctor handed Dad the prescription and left.
I was still sitting beside mom.
I had to do something. What can I do for her.
'We have to leave this place', I muttered under my breath.

I got up and was about to leave when Mom held my hand.
"Mom, are you okay?", I asked.
She opened her eyes , the same pitch black eyes.
God! This isn't mom.

"I'll follow you even if you leave this house", she said laughing.
