Chapter 25

Grandma gave me a bone crushing hug and I reciprocated the same way.
I love Granny way too much.
"Where's Hadley?", Grandpa asked.
"She is in her room, wait I'll call her", I said.

"That's not needed honey. We can go to her room and surprise her.", Grandpa said excitedly.
"Yeah, sure. Let's go", I said.

We headed upstairs towards Hadley's room and for a change she wasn't playing with her doll house. She was drawing something.
Grandpa was about to come in when he heard Dad calling him.
"You guys go ahead, I'll be back in a minute", he told us.

"Hadleyyyyy!", Granny almost shouted with a huge smile on her face.
"Granny!", Hadley hugged her tightly.
"How were you sweetie? And hey, how are you little girl? You're Hadley's friend I guess?", she said looking into the air.

What? She could see Katie? Even when I'm unable to do so?

"Granny, she is Katie", Hadley said.
"Oh. Hi Katie", Granny said with a smile.

I saw Grandpa coming in.
"Grandpa!", Hadley went hopping towards him.
He gave her a tight hug.
"Come on Grandpa, let's play with Granny and Katie".

"Katie? Oh I see. This adorable baby bear is Katie, right?", Grandpa said.

Granny let out a laugh. "Hun, Katie is this little adorable girl. She doesn't speak much.", she said.
Grandpa looked at me, confused but he thought that Granny must be playing some game with Hadley.
Only if he knew!
