Xander's POV

I was going through some paper work needed to be completed when I suddenly felt my arm tingling making me look up from my desk in confusion.

I stared at my arm and saw the scar slowly disappearing. That scar symbolized the bond Alya and I created when we were intimate for the first time.

After she moved away, I got involved with other women but she stayed untouched. She was still mine, but I tore myself away from her the minute I slept with another woman. She knew I'd weakened the bond when I walked out on her, because when I saw her the scar she had on her shoulder wasn't there anymore.

I shook my head and laughed.

"So, Alya finally got laid. I wonder who the lucky guy is."

Emma walked in on me talking to myself. She stood at the bathroom door staring at me.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

I turned to look at her.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine."

  "Okay."

She walked pass me drying her hair with a towel.

She was dressed in shorts and my T-shirt.

"I see you like my clothes."

"What do you mean?" She asked puzzled.

  "That's my shirt."

"Really?! I thought it was mine."

   "Don't act smart Emma."

She only laughed. She continued drying her hair. I watched as she walked through the room. Her hips swaying with every step.

It had been a year since Emma first stepped foot into the kingdom. She began to trust me and felt at home. I knew this because she stopped asking  about her family. She also smiled a lot and was more comfortable around me.

Her training was a success, she was a quick learner. I enjoyed training her and looked forward to our training sessions every morning.

"Hey Emma think fast." I said tossing her a pen from my desk.

She turned around and grabbed it and within seconds.

"Now you think fast." She said throwing it back to me.

I caught it and smiled proudly.

  "I trained you well."

"You did."

She sat on her bed and continued drying her hair.

"What are you doing?" She asked

"Some paper work." I told her.

  "Am I distracting you? ."

I looked up at her from my desk. My eyes moved from her face to her shiny legs.

"Actually you are."

She noticed and used the towel to cover them.

"Okay I'm gonna go then."

"No, no, you can stay I don't mind."

I got up and walked closer to her.

"Emma I'm a blunt guy and I'll always say what's on my mind. I think I should tell you what's going on in my head at the moment.

She turned to look at me.

  "What is that?"

"I like you. You're intensely appealing."

She avoided my eyes and continued drying her hair.

"Oh!"

"Oh? What does oh mean?!"

Her cheeks gained colour and she turned away from me.

"When you say I'm appealing what does that mean?!" She asked.

"Do you really want me to break it down for you?"

"No, no. I just-"

"You just what?"

Her heartbeat quickened and her breath hitched.

"I like you too you're quite appealing yourself."

I couldn't help the laugh that escaped my throat.

"What's so funny?" She asked sheepishly.

  "Nothing." I responded.

I moved closer to her and placed my hand on her waist.

"You really don't know what else to say do you?"

She remained silent.

  "Can I kiss you?"

She turned her eyes away from the floor and looked at me.

"Yes!" She whispered.
