Stefan: "What are you doing up?" He asks Jaylan when he sees her sitting at the table in the kitchen late at night Jaylan: "Alaric said if I write a paper he'd get my grades back up" she says as he hums "It's supposed to be about some history event but I can't think of anything" she says running her hands through her hair sighing before turning to him "Hey you're old. Got any good stories for me?" She asks teasingly as he thinks for a moment Stefan: "You could write about the Ripper of Monterey." Jaylan: "The Ripper of Monterey? Who's that?" Stefan: "This famous serial killer from 1917. He went around the town of Monterey killing everyone in sight. Men, women, children." Jaylan: "How come its not in the history books?" Stefan: "It's something people wanted to forget." Jaylan: "What happened?" She asks intrigued Stefan: "He came into their homes and tore them apart. Slaughtered them. There was so much blood. Not a living soul in sight." He says with a distant look in his eyes making her put the pieces together Jaylan: "That was you, wasn't it?" She asks making him sigh Stefan: "Yeah. I'm whats known as a ripper." Jaylan: "That's why you don't feed?" Stefan: "When I have human blood I lose control of myself. I become someone that I'm ashamed of." He says as they sit in silence for a minute Jaylan: "I don't have to write about this. I can find something else." She says as he shakes his head Stefan: "No, it's a good story. Sure to get you an A. If it wasn't us you wouldn't be in this position. So write it. Make it good." He says tapping the table before going back upstairs

Girl: "How do I taste?" She asks over the music Damon: "Ahh. So much better than your friends. But, shh, don't tell them. They might get jealous." Girl: "Ha, ha." Damon: "Oh look who it is." He says as Jaylan comes into the room to see the girls dancing with bites on their necks Jaylan: "So this is what vampires do when their hearts are broken." She says walking towards him Damon: "It's a great method. Wanna taste?" He asks holding the girl out to her Jaylan: "Not hungry. Just ate." She says shaking her head Damon: "No. Buzzkill Bob. Greetings." He says as Stefan comes into the room turning the music off Stefan: "Can we talk?" Damon: "Yeah." Stefan: "Without the Tri-Delts?" Damon: "Anything you have to say to me, you can say in front of them. They're really good at keeping secrets" He says and then pushes the girl to Jaylan before going over to Stefan "Have a drink. They taste great." Girl: "Want some?" She asks holding her neck out to her and she contemplates before giving in and taking a bite out of her Damon: "Atta girl." He says coming over to Jaylan as she pulls away from the girl "Told you. They're delicious." He whispers in her before going back partying with the others as she leaves
