Damon: "You're interrupting my drink." He says when answering his phone Katherine: "Miss me?" Damon: "Katherine. Where are you?" Katherine: "Lurking outside your window, pining away." She smirks to herself Damon: "What do you want?" He asks annoyed Katherine: "I'm homesick. What have I missed?" Damon: "Well, my brother and girlfriend are still Klaus' little prisoners and Elena still thinks she can save him and no one's thought about you since you left." Katherine: "And what about you? I'm sure by now that you've given up on your brother." Damon: "I didn't give up on him. I just don't know where he is." Katherine: "Hmm." She smirks making him perk up Damon: "But you do. Are you trailing them?" Katherine: "A hybrid who wants me dead and his sidekick who's off the rails? I couldn't be further away." Damon: "Which means you know exactly where they are." Katherine: "All I know is that Klaus pitched a fit once his hybrids didn't work. Now he's looking for some answers." Damon: "How do you know that?" Katherine: "Spend 500 years running, and there will be a few people along the way that are looking out for you." Damon: "Is that what you're doing? Looking out for my brother?" Katherine: "Maybe, maybe not. I'm conflicted." Damon: "Where are they?" He asks as she tells him the answer

Klaus: "Welcome back to Chicago, Stefan." He says as they drive into a warehouse getting out the car Stefan: "What are we doing here?" Klaus: "I know how much you loved it here. Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days." Jaylan: "You've been here before?" She asks looking at him before shaking her head "That's a stupid question. Of course, you have. Pretty sure there are very few places you haven't been to." She says to herself following the guys Stefan: "Blocked out most of them. A lot of blood, a lot of partying. The details are all a blur." Klaus: "Well, that is a crying shame. The details are what makes it legend. Word was the ripper of Monterrey got lonely, so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was prohibition. Everything was off-limits then, which made everything so much fun" he says going into a story about Stefan back in the day as they look off at the city "Chicago was magical." Stefan: "Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it." Klaus: "Ready to get down to business, then?" He says as Stefan walks away from them Jaylan: "Why are we still with you? We had our fun, your hybrids failed. I mean, don't you want to move on?" She asks as they head to the door Klaus: "We're going to see my favorite witch. If anyone can help us with our hybrid problem, it's her."
Damon
When Damon gets to the Gilbert house he walks in to see Brielle in the kitchen eating cereal and Alaric in front of her
Damon: "Hey. Hey, squirt." He says coming to stand behind her chair Brielle: "Hi." She smiles at him while chewing food Alaric: "What are you doing here?" He asks taking a sip out of his coffee Damon: "Came to talk to Elena about something. Where is she?" Alaric: "Still asleep." He says pointing upstairs before going into the living room Damon: "What are you up to today?" He asks looking at Brielle Brielle: "Hanging out with Mrs. Dawson and then grandma is gonna pick me up." Damon: "Nice. Wanna come wake up Elena with me?" He asks as she nods and he puts her on his shoulders before walking up the stairs
