As I Lay Dying

Damon walks into the living room and he pours himself a glass of bourbon. When he gets to a table he puts the bottle down and next to it is a letter with Jaylan's name on it. He walks over to the window and opens the curtains taking a deep breath before removing his ring letting the sun start to burn him. Jaylan gets to the boarding house and walks in to see Damon making her eyes widen. She speeds over and closes the curtains throwing him to the ground

Jaylan: "What the hell are you doing!?" She asks as he looks up at her
While she reads the note he left her he sits in a chair as she paces back and forth in anger
Damon: "Jaylan..."
Jaylan: "Uh huh. You don't get to talk right now" She glares at him as she continues reading before looking over at him "So what exactly was your plan? Huh? For me to find your ashes along with your sorry pathetic excuse of a goodbye note!?" She yells throwing it to the ground
Damon: "Jaylan-"
Jaylan: "What part of don't speak are you not understanding?" She asks as Stefan walks into the room to see them "Did you know?"
Stefan: "Know what?" He asks in confusion but understands when she walks over to Damon and pulls his sleeve up
Jaylan: "About this?" She asks as Stefan sighs out looking over at Damon "I'll take that as a yes" she says throwing his arm down a little as he winces quietly "I found out when your idiot brother tried to burn himself."
Stefan: "What!?" He asks with wide eyes stepping closer to them
Damon: "You know what happened to Rose." He sighs out to them
Stefan: "I don't care. You're not dying today." He says speeding him to the cellar downstairs locking the door
Damon: "What's the plan, Superman?"
Stefan: "I'm gonna find a way out of this."
Damon: "Oh, right. A miracle cure. Good luck with that one."
Stefan: "I got Bonnie looking for something, anything."
Damon: "Always the hero, Stefan. Just tell me goodbye, get it over with." He says before he starts coughing up blood
Jaylan: "Lie still. Conserve your strength. You better still be alive when I get back." She says following after Stefan as they walk out the house

Alaric: "Sorry you've reached somebody who's currently not operating." He says as Jaylan calls him
Stefan: "We need your help." He says as they head to his car
Alaric: "You have me confused with somebody else. I'm not allowed to help just idly sit by while my girlfriend gets sacrificed on an altar of blood."
Jaylan: "Damon's dying."
Alaric: "What?"
Stefan: "Tyler Lockwood bit him. We don't have much time."
Alaric: "What do you need?"
Jaylan: "Keep an eye on him until we get back. Make sure he doesn't try to do something stupid again."

Bonnie: "I'm not sure this is gonna work." She says as they are in the witch house
Stefan: "You've done a séance before, right? Contacted Emily Bennett."
Jaylan: "Maybe one of the witches know how to help Damon."
Bonnie: "Let's just hope they want to." She says as the two watch her chant before she freezes up and her head drops
Stefan: "Bonnie? Bonnie?"
Bonnie: "Emily" She says picking her head up "Why have you come here, Stefan?"
Stefan: "I need your help. I need to know if there's a spell that can heal a werewolf bite."
Bonnie: "No. Nature ensures a balance to everything."
Jaylan: "Is that true? Or are you just saying no because it's Damon?"
Bonnie: "Perhaps it is his time to die."
Stefan: "No. That's not balance that's punishment."
Bonnie: "I will not give you what you want."
Stefan: "So you're saying that there's an answer to give? Please. If you know something, just tell me. Help me save my brother." He says s Bonnie starts screaming while clutching her head
Jaylan: "Bonnie."
Bonnie: "They don't want us here. They think I'm abusing their power."
Stefan: "They know something. There's an answer. They just don't wanna tell me."
Bonnie: "Yeah. I heard them say a name."
Jaylan: "What was it?"
Bonnie: "Klaus." She sighs making the two look at each other and then head out the door
Stefan: "You don't have to come with me you know. I can handle this on my own." He says as they reach the car
Jaylan: "It's Damon, Stefan. I can't just sit back and do nothing to help him."
Stefan: "You wouldn't be doing nothing. You'd be giving him comfort."
Jaylan: "If there is a way to save him and did nothing to try to get it I would hate myself." She says as he sighs
Stefan: "Okay. Well I need to go tell Elena what's happening."
Jaylan: "Okay. I'll go check on Damon and then meet you at Alaric's." She says as he nods his head and they go separate ways
