Alaric

Damon: "Where have you been? I've been calling you all day."
Alaric: "Yeah, sorry about that. I just needed to get my head together."
Damon: "So I take it Rebekah got the stake."
Alaric: "I don't know. I woke up alone. There's no sign of it."
Damon: "Lovely. What now?"
Alaric: "Well, I think I need to get out of town...You know, somewhere secluded. I keep blacking out, which means I'm still a threat to everyone."
Damon: "I don't know if right now is the best time for you to be going on a spirit quest, Ric."
Alaric: "Ah, it's just for a couple days. I'm stocked up on Bonnie's herb, so I should be fine. I got to go." he says hanging up as Esther in Rebekah's body stands in the doorway
Esther(Rebekah): "Quite the cunning liar."
Alaric: "Well, Damon's too arrogant to think his only friend would betray him."
Esther(Rebekah): "Just as Niklaus would blindly accept an invitation from his beloved sister, unaware that he is headed to his own death."
Alaric: "Did you give him the stake?"
Esther(Rebekah): "He burned it without hesitation."
Alaric: "So where is the real one?"
Esther(Rebekah): "You'll get it when it can no longer be used against me in this body."
Alaric: "So how do you..."
Esther(Rebekah): "How do I return to my true form? With a little magic and some help from a vampire hunter." she says handing him a dagger as he stabs it into her chest watching as Esther wakes up in her own body

Elena

Caroline: "So Alaric is trying to pull himself together. Why is that a bad thing?" she asks walking around the gym
Elena: "Just I wish there was something I could do. Where do you want me to hang this thing?"
Caroline: "You know what? If Rebekah wanted to hang this monstrosity, she should have shown up to do it herself. Just no. What are you doing? You can't just hang them. They're supposed to trickle down. Look at them all bromancey." she says holding up a decoration before looking over at Jeremy and Matt on a ladder
Elena: "Yeah, I asked Matt to help Jeremy readjust. He got him his old job back at the grill."
Caroline: "That was nice of him."
Elena: "Mm-hmm. Jeremy's got a lot on his mind. The whole thing with Alaric has got him really stressed out."
Caroline: "You sure it had nothing to do with witnessing you try to get hot and heavy with Damon in a skeevy motel." she mutters loud enough for her to hear it
Elena: "I didn't tell you that so you could torture me with it. I feel bad enough about it already."
Caroline: "Ah, what are friends for?"
Elena: "You didn't tell Jaylan did you?"
Caroline: "No. If I did you'd already be in a ditch" she says making Elena look at her in guilt and worry "So who you bringing to the dance?"
Elena: "What do you mean? I thought you, Bonnie, and I were going as girl dates."
Caroline: "Bonnie has a date."
Elena: "What?"
Caroline: "Jamie called...And wanted to see her, so she asked him." she says smirking at her in a knowing way
Elena: "Hmm."
Caroline: "So here's a thought. Why don't you ask Stefan?"
Elena: "I-I can't ask him on a date. I tried to make out with his brother." she whispers slightly
Caroline: "All the more reason. Look you're trying to get over your feelings for Damon and being around Stefan is gonna help with that" she says as Elena gives it some thought "Plus if Stefan is with you Jaylan can't murder you easily." she says walking away leaving her frightened
