It's early in the morning when the sound of soft footsteps and clattering downstairs wakes up Damon. As he opens his eyes he looks over and sees Jaylan still sleeping and after hearing the noise again he groans out before standing up and going to check it out. When he reaches downstairs he goes into the kitchen and finds Brielle walking around and carrying a box of cereal
Damon: "Squirt? What are you doing up? It's 5:30." he groans out while rubbing the sleep from his eyes Brielle: "Making breakfast for mommy. It's her birthday." she says shocking Damon a little Damon: "It is? Did I know this?" he mutters to himself as he scratches his head and racks his brain if he knew that information Brielle: "Yep." Damon: "Whatcha gonna make her?" Brielle: "Cereal with toast and orange juice. I don't know how to make anything else." she says as he chuckles a little Damon: "Mind if I help? I can make a mean omelet." Brielle: "Sure." she smiles at him as he smiles back before moving more into the room to gather the ingredients he needs to make
After finishing up the breakfast, Damon and Brielle head back upstairs to where Jaylan is still asleep. Putting the food tray on the nightstand, they gently climb onto the bed and get on either side of her
Damon: "On three...one, two, three." he whispers before they shout out Both: "Happy birthday!" they yell out as Brielle jumps on top of Jaylan who jolted awake from the noise before smothering her face into her pillow Jaylan: "Ugh it's too early." she groans out Brielle: "Wake up! Wake up!" she says trying to pull Jaylan into a sitting position making her laugh out at the action Jaylan: "Alright I'm up. I'm up, I'm up." she says sitting up and Brielle gives her a big hug Damon: "Happy birthday." he smiles at her while holding out the tray to her Jaylan: "Thank you. Did you do this?" she asks smiling up at Damon Damon: "It was a joint effort. Brielle did most of the cooking, I just sat there and looked pretty." Jaylan: "I bet you did." she says playfully scoffing

Once they finished eating, Brielle goes into her room to get changed from her pjs while Jaylan and Damon go downstairs to talk with Stefan
Damon: "She's the calmest desiccating vampire I've ever seen. I remember when you starved me down there for three days I would've wept at your feet for an orange peel." he says pouring them all a glass of alcohol after coming from checking on Elena in the dungeon Stefan: "Look, she's not gonna beg for blood. Begging means desperation. Emotion. She's still in no-humanity zone." Jaylan: "How hungry does she have to be before we can torture some feelings back into her?" Stefan: "A lot hungrier than she is now, apparently." Damon: "What are we supposed to do in the meantime?" Katherine: "Maybe I can provide a little excitement." she says appearing in the doorway with a smirk on her face Stefan: "Katherine." Katherine: "The one and only. Sort of. So, when's the welcome home party?" she asks walking over to them and pouring herself a glass of alcohol Damon: "Wow. Look who went and got bold. Last time I checked, Klaus was plotting your eternal demise." Katherine: "Well, it doesn't matter anymore. Because Klaus is gone." she says shocking them Jaylan: "Wait, what do you mean he's gone?" Katherine: "Let's just say that werewolf girl, Hayley, turned out to be just the thing we needed to get Klaus out of our lives for good."
