Adora's POV
Today's the day. Football try-outs. It's also cheerleading try-outs. Glimmer and Bow are both typically on the cheerleading. Lonnie and Rogelio are typically on the team as well. Lonnie, Glimmer, Bow, and I are on our way to the school now. Catra came with us for support.
"God, your music taste sucks! Give me the Aux. Here Adora. This song is for you." Lonnie said.
Oh god, what is she going to play?

"Oh haha.." I say I'm cut off by everyone in the car laughing. Even Catra.
God, does she know I like her?
I look out the window for the rest of the ride.
Once we got to the school Lonnie, Catra, and I separated from Bow and Glimmer since they had to go to the gym for their try-outs.
"Good luck you two. No killing each other" Catra said, in a teasing authoritarian tone.
"Of course, wouldn't want to hurt your girlfriend," Lonnie said, chuckling
Catra's POV.
It's football try-outs today. I normally go to support Lonnie. But today I get the extra benefit of seeing Adora all hot in her football uniform. Sadly our ride was with Sparkles and Crop Top.
"God, your music taste sucks! Give me the Aux. Here Adora. This song is for you." Lonnie said.
Adora looked very confused.

I couldn't help but laugh. I know Adora doesn't like me like that but it was funny nonetheless.
Once we got to the school Lonnie, Adora, and I separated from the Glitter Gang and went to the field. I went up onto the bleachers to get a good view of where they would be practicing.
"Good luck you two. No killing each other" I said, in a joking parental voice.
"Of course, wouldn't want to hurt your girlfriend," Lonnie said, chuckling
"She's not my girlfriend!" I said, almost panicked. I feel the heat rising to my cheeks.
After what she pulled in the car I'm already annoyed with her but she just keeps pushing.
I see Adora chuckle too.
God, does she know I like her?
"Uhg, just go play," I say, now annoyed. You are so dead Lonnie.
Kyle came upon the bleachers along with a few other people. I'm assuming he's here to watch his boy toy try out.
"You here to gawk at Adora?" He said.
"What?! NO! Why would you say that? You know I come here for Lonnie every year"
"Yeah, but every year, you spend the entirety of the try-outs sleeping or playing on your phone. You haven't taken your eyes off the field once today."
He wasn't wrong, I couldn't take my eyes off the field. I couldn't help but watch Adora. Watching the sweat drip down her perfectly toned arms. The occasional glimpse I would get of her abs if she lifted her shirt to wipe her face. It was too good to take my eyes off the field. But I couldn't let him know that.
"Maybe, I'm just not tired today. Have you thought of that Kyle?" I said, clearly annoyed.
"Woah, Woah. I'm not judging. I used to do the same thing with Rogelio. I still do."
I mean. If anyone would understand the situation I'm going through it would be Kyle. It is pretty much the exact same. He and Rogelio were separated for years and came back together and fell in love. The only difference is I don't think Adora could ever want me the way I want her.
"I'm sorry, I just don't want a bunch of people knowing. It's bad enough that Lonnie and Sparkles know. They suck with secrets"
"Yeah, I'm aware. But if it wasn't for Lonnie sucking with secrets, I would still be single right now" He said while he got up and went over to some of his other friends.
Is it possible that Lonnie was just trying to help me the same way she did with Kyle?
Adora's POV
Lonnie and I are pretty much worn out, but we made the team!
We made our way back over to Catra, who was laying down now.
"Hey, wake up Kitten," I said, shaking her
"I'm not asl..." She stopped speaking and just stared at me
"Oh, sorry. I'm kind of sweaty. But I made the team! So did Lonnie. The coach is going to tell us our positions on the first day of practice."
"C-cool, that's good." She continued to sit frozen
"Uh, guys, we should probably go to the gym to see how Bow and Glimmer are doing," Lonnie said.
"Yeah, we should," I said
Catra got up slowly. Lonnie was walking a little ahead of us.
"Are you okay? I asked Catra, I was concerned because I don't think I've ever seen her this quiet.
"Hot... I mean, I'm a little hot, I think I might be getting a fever"
"Oh, okay. Let's go grab the keys from Glimmer and we can just wait in the car until they are able to leave and so you can go rest."
Once we were inside the gym we saw Glimmer and Bow doing cartwheels and stuff.
"Glimmer, I need the keys. Catra has a fever, so she's going to rest in the car"
She looked at me and chuckled a bit.
"Yeah, she totally has a fever," She said, handing me the keys.
I looked at her, confused, and started to walk away.
"Don't make a mess in my car Catra!" Glimmer yelled.
Why would she yell that? Does she think Catra will get sick in the car?
When I got back over to Catra her face was even redder. Her fever must really be affecting her.
"Let's get to the car," I said.
