Me and Harry have been talking about getting a dog for a while, but just weren't one hundred percent sure. We now live in a lovely house and I recently started working from home so we decided that it was time. Today is finally the day we're going to pick him up. We are adopting a long haired mini dachshund who is 6 months old and in need of a home.
"I can't wait!" I said as we pulled up to the adoption centre, after an hour drive. Once we'd filled out all of the paperwork they finally brought out the little dog. When he spotted me and Harry his tail started to wag and he ran straight up to us. We came to meet him almost a week ago and immediately fell in love with him, so I'm guessing he remembered us.
We got him in his little harness and left. Harry sat in the driver's seat for once since he hates driving, I got in the passenger seat and strapped the dog in so he could sit on my lap. "So what are we going to name you?" I spoke to the dog in a high pitched voice "Ronaldo?" Harry said. "haha, very funny!" I replied, shaking my head.
Once we pulled up outside Harry unlocked the front door and we went inside, I put the dog (who still has no name) down so he could explore. We fed him and ourselves then he fell asleep cuddled up on the couch so I took a picture. "I love the name Rocky." Harry nodded "he looks like a Rocky." "Rocky!" I called from the other side of the room and his head shot up. "Rocky it is then."
