(This one's really a test of my writing ability. XD I have to master Owain's way of speaking, which will not be easy. I hope you guys like this!)

Reader's Point of View

"There really is something weird about that guy..." "Yeah, he's kinda crazy..." "What's with all that yelling?" People were saying, trying to keep quiet but failing. I could hear them loud and clear, and I glared at the people making those rude coments. "Stop talking about my friend that way!" I yelled, causing a few random people to jump. I glared again before turning to my blonde friend, Owain. "Ignore them, Owain. They just don't understand your epic and legendary way of speaking." I said. Owain crossed his arms. "Or perhaps they are simply jealous that they are not the chosen hero! For that legendary chosen hero is I, humble Owain!" He declared.

I couldn't help but smile. Owain was unique, but there wasn't anything wrong with that. He wasn't doing anything to bother anyone, so what was the big deal? Owain was Owain, and if anyone didn't like that, they could just ignore it. I guess I was lost in thoughts for a while, because next thing I know someone was snapping their fingers in front of my face, bringing me back to reality. "(Y/n), are you there?" Owain questioned. I blinked and shook my head. "Heh, sorry, Owain. I sorta spaced out there..." I said, blushing lightly. Owain pouted. "So I guess you didn't hear my speech about the legendary chosen hero...?" He said. I laughed lightly. "Sorry, Owain."

Owain was my best friend ever since we met. We were almost always together, and we enjoyed each other's company very much. I can say that I enjoyed his company, anyway. I don't know what it was about the young man, but something made me love him. As more than a friend. That's why I defended him so much. Of course, if anyone was being rude to one of my other friends, I would stop them as well. Owain was just special. I knew he was special when I first met him.

~Flashback~

"So, this is your son, Lissa?" I asked the princess. She smiled and nodded, happily. "Yup!" She said, happily. The boy stepped forward. "Hello. I am Owain, the chosen one, the legendary chosen hero, the man chosen to have the cursed sword hand. And you are?" He asked. I blinked, but laughed lightly. "I'm (y/n), the future tactician, daughter of the current tactician." I said, smiling. Owain's eyes suddenly widened, and he looked me up and down. "You said your name is (y/n)!? That name! Yes, it must be you!" He exclaimed, pointing at me. I tilted my head. "Umm... What?" I questioned, confused. He then grinned. "The second hero! It must be you! It has to be!" He said. I laughed, lightly. "I wouldn't say that... I'm really no hero." I admitted. Owain shook his head. "No, it's you. You just haven't realized it yet." Lissa groaned. "Owain, cut it out." She said. "You're bothering (y/n)." I smiled and shook my head. "No, it's alright! He's great, Lissa!" I said. She nodded slowly. "Alright, then. As long as you're ok with it." She said, as she left. Owain looked at me and crossed his arms. "So, it's you and me, then." He said. "You'll be my partner." I grinned and nodded. "Alright, chosen hero."

~End Flashback~

I smiled as I remembered our meeting. It was getting late, and the camp was getting ready for dinner. I had just finished getting dressed, when Maribelle walked in. "(Y/n), our whole camp has been invited to a feast in one of the villages we helped. Chrom was going to politely refuse, but they insisted. Dress nicely." She said, walking out. I sighed. I was never one for big, formal things. I walked to my chest of clothes and pulled out the nicest clothes I could find- A very simple knee-length (favorite color) dress with long sleeves that got wider near my hands. I quickly put it on and did my hair in (favorite hairstyle) before finding some simple but nice shoes.

Maribelle saw me as soon as I walked out. She smiled at me. "You look lovely." She said. I smiled. "Thank you. So do you." I returned the complement. "Thank you very much." She said. "Oh, and I forgot to tell you, we're supposed to be going in pairs." She explained. My eyes widened. "Pairs...? Why?" I questioned. Maribelle shrugged lightly. "I'm not sure, but the villagers requested that we did." She replied. I nodded hesitantly. "Alright... Thanks for telling me." I thanked. Maribelle nodded and walked to her young husband, Ricken. I couldn't help but smile at the young couple. They really were perfect for each other.

I was walking towards the rest of the people, when I was stopped by someone putting a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see Owain. "Oh, hey, Owain." I greeted, smiling. Owain smiled back. "Hello, (y/n). I assume that you know about the feast already, seeing as you're dressed up." He said. I nodded. "Yup...!" I replied, faking enthusiasm. Owain grinned. "I also assume that you will be accompanying me, humble Owaine, correct?" He asked. I smiled. "Mmhmm!" I replied, this time genuinely happy. Owain grinned even more. "The two chosen heroes!" He shouted. I laughed and nodded, as we walked to the village with the rest of the group.

When we got to the village, our group was escorted into a somewhat large building. After all of us were inside, one of the villagers closed the door. The room had several large tables that were each filled with food of all kinds. Eveyone looked around in awe. This village could really set a feast! As everyone was sitting down, Owain grabbed my hand and brought me to a table that had the rest of the future children. There were several couples. Lucina and Inigo, Nah and Yarne, Cynthia and Brady, Gerome and Kjelle, Noire and Morgan, and Severa and Laurent. In fact, the only people at this table that weren't married, engaged, or dating were Owain and I. It was a bit awkward, but it was alright.

"So, (y/n)." My brother, Morgan, started. "Are you and Owain a couple?" He asked. I blushed. "Morgan, knock it off." I said. He held his hands up in defense. "Sorry, it was just a question." He said. I sighed. "I know, I know. Sorry, Morgan." I apologized. He knew I liked Owain, but he would never tease me about it or intentionally embarrass me. He was a good brother. "You two would make a great couple, though!" Cynthia exclaimed, smiling. "Yes, quite." Inigo agreed. "Please, don't embarrass them." Lucina said, calmly. Owain then grinned and stood up. "No, it's quite alright! In fact, I agree! The fates intended for us to be together! That is why they led me to the second chosen hero!" He declared. I blushed and looked up at him. Owain reached down and took my hand, pulling me up and into a kiss. My eyes widened, and my cheeks heated up. I then closed my eyes though, kissing the hero back. Kissing MY hero back. When we pulled away, our whole table clapped for us. I blushed darkly and smiled. Owain then spoke. "You've eluded my defenses and pierced my heart. It seems I've finally found... My weakness." He said, blushing lightly. I hugged him tightly. "I love you, my chosen hero!" I admitted. Owain laughed lightly and hugged back. "I love you, too, my second hero and future wife." He said. I smiled, happily, before suddenly blushing darkly.

"...Did you just propose to me...?"
