Reader Point of View

I yawned as I quietly made my way from my private quarters to the mess hall. It was early, and I had just woken up after not having very much sleep. However, even though I wanted to just stay curled up in my bed, I did have some motivation to get up and get to work. It was my turn to help make breakfast for camp, and Azura would be the one helping me. Just the thought of the beautiful young woman was enough to put butterflies in my stomach. She was perfect in every way. I loved her calming presence and her gently personality. Not to mention, her voice was just as beautiful as her. I was completely in awe of Azura.

Apparently, I was too lost in thoughts to notice that I had already arrived at the mess hall, and that I wasn't all alone. "Good morning, (y/n)." Azura said, causing me to jump. Azura giggled, softly, and gave me an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." She said, causing a light blush to spread across my cheeks. "No, no, don't worry about it! It's alright!" I said, more than a little embarrassed. "I just wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings." I added, looking away. Azura smiled at me. "What were you thinking about, if I may ask?" She questioned, giving me a warm smile. I bit my lip, not making eye-contact. "I-it's nothing..." I lied, finding the ground very interesting at the moment. "Anyway, we should go get breakfast started..."

Azura and I walked into the mess hall and immediately got to work, knowing that the army would be showing up at any time. We didn't want to keep any of our hungry soldiers waiting. "So, (y/n), what do you think we should make?" Azura asked me. I quietly thought for a moment. "Well... I have a few ideas..." I said, actually completely clueless. Azura giggled, softly. "Is that so?" She asked, obviously seeing through my little statement. "Don't worry. We'll think of something quick and simple." She said, smiling. I quietly nodded, and we started to get things together.

Eventually, Azura and I decided on what to make for breakfast. Azura had suggested my favorite breakfast, surprising me a bit. It made me happy that she had remembered, though. As we prepared the early meal, I couldn't help but notice Azura humming. It was the song that she always sang, and I loved it. However, what I didn't notice for quite a while was that I had apparently started to hum it along with her. Azura stopped what she was doing and slowly looked up at me. When I saw her, I quickly stopped and looked away. "I-I'm sorry, Azura... I just couldn't help but join you..." I mumbled, blushing. Azura smiled and shook her head. "You have no reason to be sorry, (y/n). You have done nothing wrong." She replied. "Now, let's finish breakfast so that everyone can eat."

After a while, we finished making breakfast and were able to enjoy what we had spent time on making, together. "May I sit with you, (y/n)?" Azura asked, as she followed me to a long table where a few others were already seated. I blushed, lightly, and nodded. "Yes, of course, Azura. I would love for you to sit with me." I replied, giving her a small smile. Azura returned the smile and thanked me, as we sat down beside each other. Not long after, we were joined by Silas, who sat down across from us.

I smiled at my best friend, who I had been happily reunited with. "Hello, Silas." I greeted. Silas smiled. "Hey, (y/n), Azura." He greeted in response. "Good morning." Azura said, as she began to eat her breakfast. I smiled and took a sip of my drink, then setting my cup back down on the table. Silas glanced at me. "Hey, (y/n), how long have the two of you been together? I mean, if you don't mind me asking." He questioned, causing my eyes to widen. "W-what...!?" I squeaked, my cheeks darkening. "We're not a couple, Silas...!" I stuttered, though I wished that we were. Azura blushed, lightly, and quickly shifted her attention elsewhere. Silas bit his lip and scratched the back of his neck. "Oh, I... I'm sorry... I just thought that..." He shook his head. "Nevermind, I'll stop talking..."

Silas, Azura, and I spent the rest of the time in total silence. Well, except for the noise of everybody else in the building talking and eating. When I was finished, I stood up to wash my dishes. However, I noticed that Azura had also finished her breakfast and was about to do the same. "Let me!" I offered, before I could tell myself not to. Azura glanced at me, standing. "It's alright, I can wash them, myself." She said, softly. I shook my head, gently taking them from her. "Please, let me." I said. Azura nodded, a smile forming on her lips. "Alright. Thank you, (y/n). You're so sweet..." She said. I blushed, lightly, at the comment, but I turned and walked away before she could see.

"Come on, (y/n)... You need to stop getting so flustered around Azura..." I mumbled to myself, as I washed our dishes. "What's so embarrassing about getting flustered around the person you love, sweetie?" A voice asked, causing me to jump. "It happens to people all the time. There is no need to be embarrassed." I slowly turned around to see my older sister, Camilla. "W-what are you talking about...?" I asked, my cheeks turning red. Camilla softly giggled, smiling. "Oh, dear, you're so cute when you blush." She said. "You're my little sister. How could I possibly not notice your little crush on Azura?"

I bit my lip and looked around, before looking back at my sister. "Camilla, please, don't tell anyone..." I whispered. Camilla smiled at me. "Of course I won't tell. However, darling, it's obvious to most everyone, here." She said, causing my heart to start pounding. "What do you mean...?" I stuttered. Camilla gave me a small smile. "Have you not heard? People keep talking about the two of you. Everyone wants to know if you two are a couple." She said. I didn't know what to say. As much as I would love to be a couple, I doubted that Azura felt the same. "Camilla, what if Azura doesn't feel that way about me...?" Camilla smiled. "She does, (y/n)." She said, before turning and walking away.

Later that day, while I was in my private quarters, I couldn't stop thinking about what Camilla had said. Could it be true? Could Azura possibly love me? I highly doubted it. Sighing, I stood up from my bed and walked to my door, opening it and walking out. However, before I had gone very far, I stopped, hearing Azura's singing. I slowly began to make my way to where I heard the singing coming from, when I noticed that it was coming from the hot springs. I blushed, darkly, as I quickly walked back to my private quarters and grabbed a towel. I then made my way back to the hot springs and stepped inside. I undressed and lied my clothes on the floor, before wrapping the towel around myself and entering the main room. Sure enough, the blue-haired girl was sitting in the hot water, singing.

Azura stopped singing as soon as she noticed me. "Oh, hello, (y/n)." She said, sending me a smile. I returned the smile, walking towards the water. "Hello, Azura. Is it alright if I join you?" I asked. Azura nodded. "Of course. Go ahead." She said. I smiled and stepped into the water, sitting down across from Azura. "The water feels amazing..." I said, softly. Azura nodded in agreement. "It does... The hot springs are also a good place to sing..." She added. I blushed, lightly. "I know... I heard you..." I said, looking away. "I couldn't help but listen to your beautiful voice..." I finished, quietly. Azura stayed quiet for a moment, before standing and coming closer to me. She sat down beside me and gently lied her head on my shoulder, causing my face to heat up.

Azura yawned a bit, closing her eyes. "Thank you, (y/n)... I'm glad that you enjoy hearing me sing..." She said, softly. I blushed, darker, and slowly put my arm around Azura, pulling her closer. "You know..." She opened her eyes. "I somehow feel that I have always loved you..." She admitted, causing me to freeze. My eyes widened, and I looked at Azura, who was lightly blushing. "I..." I couldn't believe that Azura had just said that. I never in a million years would have imagined that Azura would love me, back. Quietly, I looked down. "I... I love you, too, Azura..." I whispered, gently pulling away from her. Azura looked up at me, and I gently cupped her cheeks, closing my eyes, as well as the gap between us.

Azura almost immediately kissed back, gently wrapping her arms around me. When we finally pulled away, we were both blushing quite a bit. Azura giggled, softly. "That was nice, (y/n)..." She said, softly. I smiled and nodded. "Yes... It really was..." I agreed, happily. I loved Azura, and I was extremely happy to learn that she felt the same way about me. "I'm so glad you told me, Azura..." I said, softly. Azura smiled. "So am I..." She said. "I love you, (y/n)..." She added, quietly. I smiled, softly. "I love you, too, Azura..."
