Reader Point of View

He was perfect. Everything about him was perfect. He was a bit rough, messy, and always said whatever he wanted. He liked to be outside and collect things. Very odd things, but they were always interesting. I don't think he even cared what people thought about him most of the time. He wasn't exactly trying to impress anybody, but he sure was impressive to me. He wasn't some stuck-up, fancy, rich person who only cared about looks and money. He was Keaton, and that was perfect for me.

It was a rather hot day, and I had decided to take a nice nap outside in the sun. However, my nap didn't last very long. I was soon woken up by somebody roughly shaking my shoulder. "Come on, (y/n), get up, already!" I heard someone whine. I didn't even have to open my eyes to tell who it was. "Just a bit longer, Keaton..." I mumbled, rolling onto my side. Keaton grumbled something upder his breath, before roughly pulling me up. I squeaked a bit in surprise, but then quickly got on my feet and opened my eyes. "I'm awake, now. Happy? Now what was so important that it couldn't wait ten more minutes?" I crossed my arms. Keaton huffed. "Well, excuse me..." He mumbled, but soon grinned. "(Y/n), you have to check out this cool rock I found!" He said, his tail starting to wag. At first, I wanted to smack him, but I soon smiled. "Alright, Keaton. I can tell you're obviously excited. Your tail is wagging." I teased. Keaton blushed and huffed. "My tail is NOT wagging!" He stated, looking away. "Anyway... You really need to come see this rock!" He said. I laughed, lightly, and nodded. "Lead the way." I said, smiling.

Keaton quickly led me to his tent, and as I walked in, I was greeted by the familiar sight of his collection. Keaton walked to one of his piles of treasures and pulled out a beautiful stone. He walked back to me and placed it in my hands. It was mostly round, but a bit rough on parts of it, and it was an interesting yet beautiful brown-ish color. Keaton grinned, proudly. "Take it outside, and look at it." I smiled and walked out of his tent, immediately noticing how the stone sparkled in the sunlight. "It's wonderful, Keaton!" I said, honestly. Keaton nodded, his tail wagging more than before. "I knew that you would like it!" I laughed, lightly, and handed the stone back to Keaton. "Your treasures are always so interesting." I said, smiling.

It wasn't unusual for Keaton to show me his treasures, as I was one of the few people that actually appreciated his collection. To everyone else, his items seemed strange or disgusting, but I enjoyed looking at his treasures. Besides, these items were all very special to Keaton, and I loved to see him happy. It was always so funny and cute to see his tail wag, and it was even funnier to tease him about it. I loved to see his face turn red. Honestly, there wasn't much that I loved more than Keaton. But because I doubted that he shared my feelings, I never really brought it up.

"Hey, Keaton? Since it's so hot, why don't we go swimming?" I asked, looking at Keaton, who was taking care of his collection. His ears perked up a bit, and he looked at me. "I'm not really in the mood for swimming, but... I'll tag along if you really want me to." He said, walking to me. I grinned. "Alright, great!" I said, grabbing his hand and running to the lake that was nearby. "Hey, slow down, (y/n)!" Keaton complained, stumbling a bit as he tried to keep up. When we got to the lake, I slipped my shoes off and ran into the lake, fully dressed. "Ahh, the water feels great..." I said, then looking at Keaton.

"Come on, Keaton! Get in!" I said, smiling. Keaton looked at me and crossed his arms. "I said that I didn't want to swim..." He mumbled. However, he made the mistake of standing to close to the water. I huffed and splashed him, causing him to jump a bit in surprise. "Hey, (y/n)!" He whined. "Why did you have to go and do that?" I laughed. "Well, now you're drenched anyway. You might as well get in." I said, smirking. Keaton rolled his eyes a bit, but his tail started wagging. "Fine... I'll get in... But just because you're annoying me..." He mumbled.

After a while, we were splashing and playing like little children. It was very enjoyable, and I was having a good time just spending time with Keaton and having fun like that. However, we both knew that we would have to get out, eventually. We both got out of the lake and started to walk back to camp, when Keaton looked at me with a smirk. "You smell like a wet dog." I huffed. "You ARE a wet dog." I said, crossing my arms. Keaton huffed, and I laughed, lightly. "But there's nothing wrong with that." I said, lightly kissing his cheek. Keaton's cheeks turned dark red. "Anyway..." He mumbled. "You should probably change into something dry..." He said, looking away. I laughed lightly, and nodded, walking to my tent.

As the week went on, Keaton and I became closer and closer. I mean, we were already close and had been since we first met, but it was more than that. We would do nearly everything together. We would look for treasures, go hunting, patrol, and even occaisionally just go swimming again. It was nice. I got to spend so much time with Keaton that it felt like we were practically a couple. Which is probably why rumors started spreading around camp. I heard multiple people saying that they wondered if we were secretly a couple, or if Keaton was going to propose, soon, or several other things that normally wouldn't bother me too much. However, the closer Keaton and I got, the more my feelings for him grew.

As I was getting ready for bed one night, Keaton came into my tent without a warning. Luckily, I had already finished changing into my sleepwear. Even though he came in without saying anything, I couldn't help but smile at him. "Hello, Keaton." I said. Keaton refused to look at me. "Hey, (y/n)..." He mumbled. "Listen, I need to talk to you about something... Important..." He said, shifting a bit. I looked up at him, a bit nervous. I was worried about how he was acting. It was unlike him to be so awkward around me, and I was worried that I had somehow upset him in someway.

"What do you need to talk about, Keaton...?" I asked, biting my lip as I waited for Keaton to answer. It felt like forever before he answered, though in reality it was only a few seconds. "We're... Together... Right...?" He asked, pink dusting his cheeks. I blushed, surprised by this question. "I... That's kinda what I was thinking..." I said, quietly. Keaton looked up at me. "Really?" He asked, seeming a bit relieved. I blushed, darker, and nodded. Keaton then grinned. "That's a relief." He said. "I mean, it's not like I thought that you didn't like me or anything... I just... Wanted to hear you say it." He stated.

I looked at Keaton, who's tail was wagging, only slightly. I couldn't help but smile at him. Keaton then looked at me. "Since you agree that we're together, I want to prove it." He said. I looked at him, a bit confused. "Prove it...?" I asked. He nodded. "Yup. And make it official. Forever..." My eyes widened, and I blushed, darkly. "Keaton..." Keaton huffed a bit. "I'm still talking." He said. "Anyway..." He reached into his pocket and pulled something out. He held out his hand, revealing a beautiful ring. I was very surprised, to say the least. I then noticed something else. The stone in the ring was the same sparkling brown stone that he had recently added to his collection. "Keaton... It's beautiful..." I whispered. Keaton huffed. "Do you accept it or not?" I looked at him. "Of course I accept it, dummy." I said, sliding the ring on my finger and kissing him. Keaton flinched, surprised, but then kissed back. When we pulled away, I laughed, lightly. "I love you, my big dummy..." I said. Keaton blushed and huffed. "Yeah, well, I love you, too, I guess..."
