"You live here alone?" Freen asked and looked around my house.

"Isn't that obvious? I've been single for five years. In case you don't know," I said and chuckled.

Freen smiled and looked at the portrait hanging on the wall. She appeared mesmerized and smiled as she studied the portrait.

"You've matured a lot, Bec," Freen whispered, turning to me. "Those five years have made you independent."

I ignored Freen since I didn't know what to say and headed to the kitchen to prepare some food for us. We hadn't eaten properly at her house because Saif was running late for school.

While I was busy cooking, I felt someone's gaze on me. I turned to see that it was Freen, as usual, sitting on the kitchen counter with her arm resting on the table and her cheek on her palm.

"Why are you looking at me as if you're a child and you've discovered a jar of candies?" I asked, placing the dishes in front of her. "Eat up, then you should go home."

I was about to go to the bathroom when she grabbed my arm and made me sit on her lap. It was uncomfortable, but seeing her face in this position made my heart skip a beat.

When was the last time I had seen her this close? When was the last time I could almost touch her face? It was five years ago, I guessed.

"Why are you always in such a hurry?" Freen asked, tucking the remaining strands of hair behind my ear. "Why don't you stay with me?" she inquired, her voice taking on a seductive tone.

"I'm not hungry," I told her.

"Then I'm not hungry either," she replied.

"Then why are you here?" I asked.

"Because there's something I want to taste." Freen placed her hand on the back of my neck and gently pulled me in for a passionate kiss.

As we leaned in, our breaths mingled, and our lips met in a kiss that had been years in the making. It was a kiss filled with pent-up desire, aching yearning, and the simple joy of finally being together again.

My fingers found their way to Freen's waist, pulling her closer to me, and her hands gently cupped my face, deepening our kiss. Time stood still as we lost ourselves in each other, and the world outside the kitchen faded away.

We explored each other's lips as if we were trying to memorize every curve and crevice, savoring the taste and feel of the one we had both longed for.

As we broke the kiss, our foreheads pressed together, and we couldn't help but smile. Freen and I had reunited, and the spark between us had ignited once more, brighter and more passionate than ever.

"Oh my god."

Freen and I both turned to the person who had muttered, and it was Nam, covering her mouth in shock.

I had forgotten that she knew the passcode to this house and could enter at any time.

I bit my lip nervously as I fidgeted with my fingers. I hadn't expected Nam to find out about what was happening between Freen and me. I had planned to tell her once everything was settled. Just like Irin, she didn't want me to be just another woman and believed I deserved more. However, when it came to Freen, I couldn't help but hope. I didn't care about what I deserved; she was the only one I wanted, even though she deserved more.

"Miss Freen, I know I'm not in the right place to say this, but Becky is your employee. She's your artist, and you have a family. This isn't right," Nam scolded Freen gently.

Freen couldn't speak because Nam was right. What we were doing was inappropriate.

"Don't mention this to anyone, Nam," Freen said, looking at her. "Forget what you saw."

"I will, but I can't promise I'll support you two. I'll turn a blind eye for a while," she said.

"Thank you," I uttered and smiled at her.

"Becky and I had a relationship before. It was before you became her manager. As you can see, we've just rekindled our relationship, and I didn't want to ruin what's between us," Freen explained. "So, I'm hoping you won't say anything to anyone until we have the courage to tell them."

"My lips are sealed, Miss Freen. But please, consider your son's feelings. How would he feel if he found out? Don't hurt others for your own happiness. That's not what you taught us before. You always told us to be happy and enjoy our work, but not at the expense of hurting others. It suits you, just because you're not into boys doesn't mean you should hurt your husband. I'm just giving you advice," Nam said and stood up from the couch.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Outside. I need some fresh air," Nam excused herself and left, leaving Freen and me in deep silence.

"Don't worry, Nam won't say a word. I know her," I reassured Freen, caressing her back.

"She's right. I need to consider Saif's feelings first. I should tell him about us first," Freen said, holding my hand and squeezing it. "Let's not hide anymore, Becky. Please tell me, this time you're ready to fight for me."
