In the middle of the night, I snuck down to the kitchen to get a snack. On my way back up I could hear something coming from Liam's room. I stood by the door, pressing my ear against it. I heard movement, then some banging.

I opened the door, "Liam?"

"What is this?" He asked, holding a sheet of paper.

"It's the dead pool." I said, grabbing another.

"But, there's names crossed out."

"They're the ones who have been killed." I looked at him.

"So what does this mean?"

"I don't know." I said and reached over, unplugging the printer.

--------------

"Liam." I said. "Let's go."

I got out of my car. He slid out too and shut the door.

"This is so confusing." He said. "If you're like us, somehow then why weren't you on the deadpool."

"Then maybe I'm not like you." I shrugged. "And I just healed fast."

"That is not possible, for a human."

"Let's go."

We walked up to the building, Liam pushed the door and held it for me. Liam looked around, slightly lost.

"Liam!" Mason said, walking over. Liam looked up. "Hey! Am I gonna see you at the bonfire tonight?"

Liam shook his head, "I'm thinking about skipping it."

"You're not skipping." Mason and I said in sync.

"Why not?"

"You're on the lacrosse team, don't you have to go?" I asked.

"I don't know." He said. "I-I don't think I can make it."

"You're coming, and we're gonna find you a nice girl. That you can embarres yourself in front of. And find me, a lacrosse player. Alright?"

"Okay, I-I'll be there."

"See you later." I said to the two.

They walked away as I went to my locker. Opening it up. I grabbed out my binder for physics. Then shut the locker. Behind it revealed a man.

I screamed.

"Shh." He said. "We need to talk."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Derek."

"Why do you need me?"

The bell rang.

"Sorry, maybe later."

I walked away to my class. Until I saw Liam and Scott. I ran over.

"What's going on?"

"There's a new list." Scott said.

"See a difference?" Liam asked me.

I grabbed one, "Derek's not on here."

"And I'm not worth three million anymore, it's eighteen."

I ran my finger down the names.

"Wait," I said. "I'm on here too."

Scott and Liam looked up at me.

"How?"

--------------

That night Liam and I showed up to the bonfire with Mason.

"What's schools are here?" I asked.

"Any from around here." Mason replied.

"I'll see you later, don't get him too drunk." I said to Mason and walked away.

I pushed through people until I saw some people from Devenford Prep.

"Blaire?" They asked.

"Sorry, I've gotta go." I said and turned. I pushed back over to Mason and Liam. I saw Scott and Malia. My head felt kinda dizzy as I stumbled over, falling against Mason.

"You're drunk too?" He asked.

"No." I shook my head. "I just walked in a circle."

"It's the music." Scott said. "I have to turn off the music, don't let them out of your sight."

"Sit down Blaire." Mason said, helping me.

I leaned against Liam.

"You smell like alcohol." I said, making a sour face.

"I know." He said.

That's when security came over. Mason argued with them as they took us into the school. Dropping us, I fell on top of my brother. I groaned as I turned over. Some other cops came in with Scott as I laid there.

Then all of a sudden the music stopped and we started regaining our strength. I looked over and saw Derek with a girl. I held on to Liam. Derek helped Scott up.

He looked at me next, "You ready for that talk."

I looked at Liam, then up at Derek.

"I guess."

"Is this about you being on the deadpool?" Scott asked.

"We need to find out what she is."

I nodded.

"Do you have any powers?" Derek asked.

I shook my head, "All I know is that I can heal fast and that I am effected by everything they are."

"We need that book from Argent." Derek said.

"I haven't seen him." Scott said.

"Well we gotta work fast." He said. "But not until we know more."
