I went back to Brett's house, still a bit  shaken up.

"You need to lie down Blaire."

"I feel like I should be helping, he's my brother."

"Scott said you needed sleep."

I felt a pain in my chest as I hunched over, "Liam is getting hurt." I cried.

"Blaire." Brett said. "Please lie down."

"I can't." I said.

"Blaire." Brett said again. "Please."

I felt dizzy all of a sudden. I sat on Brett's bed. I laid back as Brett took off my shoes. He covered me with a blanket before turning off the light. He slid off his shirt before laying next to me.

"You okay?"

I looked over my shoulder at him.

"I made it worse, didn't I?" I asked. "By not being there?"

"You didn't make it worse. This would've happen either way."

"But I could've protected Hayden and my brother."

"You did everything you could."

I turned my body towards his. I looked in his eyes.

"I just wish I could have done more." I said.

He leaned forward and set his lips on mine. I put my hand on his cheek, pulling him closer. He pulled my body close to his under the blankets as our lips moved in sync. He pulled away from me.

"They'll find Liam."

I nodded before turning back over. Brett put his arm across my waist and pulled me closer.

"I'm not gonna let anymore hurt you or Liam."

I nodded slightly as I closed my eyes.

When I woke up, Brett was gone. I got up and grabbed clothes, throwing them on and then went into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I ran around the room, slipping shoes on. I brushed through my hair and then climbed out the window. Brett's parents weren't exactly notified of my stay so I just used the window. I ran to my car and got in my car. I drove to Scott's house, but when I ran in I saw his mom.

"Oh shit." I said and looked at her.

"How the hell are you alive?" She asked me. "I put you in the morgue."

"Yeah and I woke up, where's Scott?"

"Not here." She said. "Out looking for your brother before he dies. Like you did."

"Has Scott told you?" I asked.

"Told me what."

I flashed my golden eyes.

"What are you?"

"An Angel." I replied. 

"You're immortal." 

I nodded, then the front door opened.

I looked over and Saw Liam come in with Hayden and Theo.

I breathed out as tears formed, "Liam."

"You're alive?" He asked.

I nodded and hugged him tight as Theo helped Hayden.

"You're safe." I said and cried.

"Does mom know?" He asked, a tear falling on my shoulder.

"Not yet." I said. "I needed you to be safe first."
