"Kira found Brett, they're fine but we gotta go." Scott said.

"More assassins?" Liam asked.

"Maybe a lot more."

"Different from the ones that just tried to set us on fire?" I asked.

"I think so, yeah."

Liam stopped. Scott walked over.

"How about you guys go home."

"I'm not like you." Liam said.

"Not yet."

"I don't mean I'm not strong, or I'm never gonna learn how to be in control. I mean everything else. You and your friends, trying to protect everyone. Have you been doing this the whole time? I mean how are you all still alive?"

"Not all of us are." He said. "Just go home, it'll be okay."

We both nodded. I brought Liam out to my car and got in inside. I got in the drivers seat. I closed my eyes and put my forehead to the steering wheel.

"Blaire?" Liam asked.

Tears slipped down my face.

"How long is this gonna be going on?" I asked.

"I don't know." He chocked.

"I was scared shitless when you were on that list. But I'm on it too Liam. And I don't even know what I am."

"Blaire." Liam put his hand on my back. "We'll be okay."

"You will, I won't." I shook my head looking at him.

"Let's go."

I nodded, wiping my face. I pulled out of the driveway. I drove down the road.

We arrived at the house. I saw the living room light on. We both got out and went inside. Our mom was sitting on the couch.

"I didn't realize the bonfire would last so long." She stood.

"Please shut up." I said and hugged her in my soaking wet clothes.

She hesitantly put her arms around me, "O-Okay."

I started crying again as I pulled away.

"Goodnight."

I hugged Liam and ran up the stairs. I stood at the top.

"What was that about?" My mom asked Liam.

"I-I'm not sure." He said. "Maybe on her period."

He let out a laugh as I smiled.

"Goodnight mom."

"Y-Yeah, sweet dreams."

Liam ran up and stopped when he saw me.

"You need some sleep Blaire."

I nodded and walked into my room, shutting the door.

----------

The next morning I got up, it was a Sunday so I didn't have to be anywhere. I walked out of my room, Liam door was open and he was laying on his bed. He was awake, but not moving.

"Liam?" I asked, Leaning against his doorway.

"What do you want Blaire?" He asked, obviously crying.

"Liam, what's wrong?" I pushed off the wall and sat next to him.

He sat up, "I just feel like I'm no help."
