The first pre-season game is in a week, our schedules are just like they were last season so I'm able to go to a majority of the Oilers home games and he'll be able to come to most of my games too.

Next month we'll be celebrating one year, even tho we were broken up for a month we are still going to celebrate. We've come so far in just a year and I believe I've found my person. "Babe?" Leon asks popping his head into the bathroom.

"Yes?" I ask looking over at him. "I have practice in an hour, do you wanna get dinner after?" He asks coming in. "Sure" I answer shrugging and looking back in the mirror.

He stands behind me and rests his head against the side of mine "how are you feeling?" He asks. "Good, I'm happy and my ankles better" I answer. "Good" he whispers kissing my cheek gently.

I smile and go on my tip toes kissing his cheek "how are you?" I ask him. "I'm happy" he answers smiling. "I love you leon" I whisper. He smiles "I love you too scarlett" he whispers back.

We spend the next hour catching up and planning out our week since it is sunday. While leon's gone for practice I take bowie for a quick walk and then I go grocery shopping.

The cart half full most of it being healthy stuff and the rest being snacks for when we want to be lazy. While I'm putting the stuff away bowie runs towards the door barking as it opens. I look towards it and Leon's walking in with a new bouquet of flowers.

After I finish putting everything away i put the flowers in a vase and they sit on the kitchen island. "I put the pedals away for some day special" I tell leon while hugging him. "You mean our wedding day?" He asks. I lift my head "yeah, you've thought about that?" I ask him.

He nods and smiles "yeah I knew after 3 months that I wanted to marry you and I want kids so of course we'd also be married" he says going on. "We'd be the draisaitl's" I say looking into his eyes. "Yeah, the draisaitl's" he smiles.

Once we finish hugging and having a cute moment we go upstairs and change for dinner. I'm not sure where we're going but he picked out the dress. He zips up the zipper for me then kisses my cheek "beyond beautiful" he says.

I turn around and look up at him "you're so sweet" I whisper. He smiles and kisses me gently "just telling you the truth" he says kissing my forehead. "And you're handsome" I tell him.

"And heres your chicken parm" the waitress says putting it down infront of me. "Thank you" I reply. She nods and then walks away. "To 11 months" leon says holding my hand. "To 11 months" I reply squeezing his hand.

A few minutes later she comes back and pours more wine into my glass and putting more bread on the table. "Thank you" leon says. Her race turns slightly pink and she walks off.

Honestly I don't blame her he's attractive and his eyes have a way of pulling you in. "You're coming to the preseason game right?" He asks. I nod "yes I wouldn't miss it for the world babe" I answer.

We talk about hockey and what we're looking forward to this coming season. They're the Stanley cup champions so they have a lot to live up to.

The next week goes by so fast and now it's the first pre-season game. Vancouver.

Gabi, jules, melissa, alannah, Lauren, breanne and I are in line waiting to get into the game. "So how are you and leon doing?" Lauren asks. "We're doing so good" I answer honestly.

Lauren and I talk about our relationships and how our summers were. Her and connor went to Ontario with the cup as well and they had a lot of fun with it.

All of the wives and girlfriends are in the suite when we get there. We spend the half an hour before warm ups talking to each other and catching up.

I sit down in between jules and gabi while the guys start coming out for warmups. The fans cheering and pumping them up, there is a surprising amount of fans considering it is a pre-season game.

While they're stretching and shooting the puck around I take a photo of leon then post it on my Instagram story.

Pre-season let's go Oilers

He looks up and starts looking towards the suite then waves when he sees me. I giggle and wave back then blow him a kiss. He fake catches it and rests his hand against his heart.

"How cute" gabi says watching us. "Its a tradition" I reply looking at leon. "That's a good one" she replies. I nod in agreement and before we know it the game has started. Over the summer they signed skinner to an extension and made him the main goalie.

The first period goes on with no goals, we all leave the suite during the intermission and get a couple more drinks. "I'm not drinking tonight" breanne says. I whip my head and look at her with raised eyebrows "oh?" I question.

She smiles and leans closer "I'm still early" she whispers. "Oh my gosh" I whisper back. "Only a few people know" she says quietly. "Including me" richelle whispers joining in on the conversation.

I give her a hug "that's amazing" I whisper. "Thank you" she replies. We go back to the suite and the second period starts off. Leon getting a short handed goal 2 minutes in, assisted by oscar klefbom and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

A couple minutes later connor goes on to make it 2-0. Nothing else happens in the second period and the second intermission is spent just talking and waiting for the third period to start.

Not even a full minute in leon scores his second of the night. "LETS GO!!" I yell standing up. He raises his stick pointing it at me. "You must be so proud" jules says standing beside me. "I am" I reply.
