F1 Oneshots

Birthday | Lando Norris

"Daddy is home!" Leah shouted to me before running out the bathroom and keeping Lando by the door of our hotel room.

His birthday was always awkward to plan around because it was during the F1 season but so far we have managed to work around that.

"Happy birthday eve daddy!" Leah grinned grabbing Lando's legs and wrapping them in a hug. Her hazel curls hung down her cheeks like a longer version of her father's hair.

"Thanks Leah." Lando grinned lifting her into his arms and walking into the room just as I was zipping up the suitcase with Lando's presents in. Leah's arms were wrapped around his neck as he held him close to her. She was rested on his right forearm against his papaya coloured polo, her curls blended seamlessly into his as her face hovered next to his. Their hazels eyes almost identical.

"I love you daddy." Leah said resting her head on his shoulder a smile crawled onto Lando's face at her statement.

"I love you too baby." He grinned kissing her gently on the forehead. "You alright." Lando asked me as he set Leah down on the bed next to him.

"Yeah I'm fine." I replied as I stepped towards him and he wrapped me in a hug. "Last time we're gonna have your birthday together." I sighed my head resting on his shoulder, he nodded slightly tightening his grip around me.

"I know." He whispered in my ear before glancing over at Leah who was sat her legs hanging off the bed and her bottom lip trembling.

"I won't see daddy on his next birthday?" She asked her voice going higher as she looked up at us and tears threatened to fall from her eyes. Lando and I looked at each other then our upset daughter.

"No you'll see me." He nodded letting go of my body and sitting next to Leah pulling her close to him. As tears ran down her cheeks. "It will be through the phone." He said to her and she nodded understanding what he had meant.

"You'll still get our presents though?" She sniffed as her tears subsided. He nodded and responded in a soft tone still keeping her close to him.

"Yeah, I'll still get your presents." He nodded gently stroking her curls to calm her, she nodded wiping her flushed cheeks with her hands and then on her dress.

"But where will I be?" She asked curiously now calm after accepting she wouldn't be with him but could still see him.

"You'll be at big school." Lando said to her she nodded and hopped down off his knee and walking to her bed to grab 'Moppy' her rabbit teddy.

"Can Moppy come with you, for your birthday?" She asked handing it him hopefully. He nodded and took the rabbit from her.

"Yeah I'll take Moppy with me." Leah smiled and clapped her hands.

"Yay."

The next morning Lando and I were woken up to Leah switching the lights on and shouting Happy Birthday down Lando's ear. It would appear she was more excited than he was.

"Morning." He grumbled having been woken up to our boisterous girl jumping up and down beside him.

"It's not just any morning daddy!" She huffed desperately trying get him out of bed. I sniggered as she yanked on his arm. I sat up beside him and Leah gave me a fed up look. "Up!" She demanded shaking his arm which he dragged back under the covers. She grunted in frustration as he refused to wake up.

"Lando she won't go away." I laughed as I swung myself out of bed and opened the suitcase I had hidden his gifts in. He grumbled unhappily and turned over away from Leah.
