Chapter 44: Provocation

"Supposedly, he's the strongest genius in Konoha..."

"I don't know what the Hokage was thinking, assigning a brat like him to tag along with us."

Walking alongside Genma, Ebisu couldn't help but voice his complaints.

Lately, the village had been abuzz with talk of Yu's prodigious talent. Today, they finally met him in person, only to find a child of six or seven years.

To make matters worse, the Hokage had arranged for him to join their mission to gain experience and an easy completed mission in his record. So, both Genma and Ebisu couldn't help but feel a sense of disdain and resentment.

"Can't you two be more considerate?" Kurenai chided. "Yu was specially assigned by the Hokage to assist us on this mission."

Hearing Genma and Ebisu belittling Yu, Kurenai, hands on hips, expressed her indignation.

"Whether he's a genius or not is a matter of perspective..."

However, at this point, Yu, who had been walking beside Kurenai, came to a halt and calmly looked at Genma and Ebisu. "But it seems you two have quite an issue with me, don't you?"
