So I got through my first three days of sophomore year. And it's Friday which is when I was supposed to update so I thought maybe a short, quick chapter to hold you over.

Bethany

"Good news. We have intel that Braga's number two, Ramon Campos, will hold a street race in Koreatown tomorrow night to fill a slot on his team. They've already chosen three drivers form previous races." Penning started the meeting. Three pictures showed on the screen; Dwight, Malik, and Tash. "Our newest informant, Mr. David Park, has been kind enough to get us into the race. O'Conner, you're up." I smiled at my boy, and he shook his fist.

"Let me guess, winner gets the slot." Sophie said and I nodded.

The meeting was dismissed and Brian dragged me into an office where Sophie was. A lot of cars were on the screen and Brian looked like a kid in a candy store.

"Alright, so these are all the imports the city had in impound." Sophie told Brian and he smiles. "Pick your poison."

"Alright, 2206. I crashed one of those. 3418 and 2765." Brian was definite in his choices.

"Okay, so which one do you want?" Sophie asked, having already asked him that.

"I want 'em all." I put my head in my hand. Of course, he does.

"Well while you have three cars, what do I do?" I asked. He opened his mouth, but I held my hand up. "I'm not sitting in the trunk of your makeshift one. And um I suck at driving. Well I actually don't know." I told him.

"Well I guess we gotta get you driving lessons. But I also have to get my car finished, so how do we do that?" Brian asked, even though I don't know if he was directing the question to me.

"There is no one that drives as well as you, that will teach me how to drive." I said and Brian looked at me smiling. "No. To whatever or whoever you are thinking about. I won't do it." I crossed my arms.

"Let me make a few phone calls. Sophie, could you get those cars for me?" She nodded at Brian's words and he grabbed my arm, pulling me out the door.

On the way to the garage, Brian was making phone calls about me. I honestly don't know who he was talking to.

"Alright, sorry to interrupt your conversation, but could you take me to the house. If I'm gonna be driving or even working in the garage, I'm not gonna be in heels," I took a bite of the grilled cheese that I grabbed off of the table thing.

"Yeah, yeah, just make it quick. I only have so much time," he rushed and quickly turned to go to the Toretto house. "Oh and your teacher should be here in like an hour and a half. Maybe an hour, knowing him," I nodded and looked at Brian.

"So it's a guy? You wanna tell me who it is?" Brian shook his head and I took another bite in a frustrated way.

"It shouldn't be too bad. I hope," my eyes widened and Brian just laughed. "I'm kidding! But go change. Gotta get this show on the road," I rolled my eyes and went inside to change.
