I couldn't move. I couldn't seem to breathe. My eyes had just stared at him. He just stared at me. Unable to take our gazes off each other. I jumped, feeling a hand on my shoulder and I turned.

Jospeh looked at me with concern in his eyes. I shook my head, snapping out of my trance. "Shall we begin?" I nodded and everyone seemed to be in agreement. We went to a long table, everybody sitting down, Jonathan to my right while Joseph was sitting on my left. I sat at the head of the table as well as Ryder on the other side. Some of the rouge Omegas came in, putting plates down and some bread baskets down as well.

I attempted to avoid him, my gaze only going around him or not even near him. My uncle began the conversation first.

"So Kamali how has ruling the rouges been?" I narrowed my eyes at him and began to sign.

"She said-"

"*Oh I know what she is saying. Pleasant you call it*"

"*Its the same as ruling a pack just with more leash to run with*"

He raised a brow, leaning back in his chair a bit. "So um you look good" oh the irony. My aunt spoke, drawing the attention away from him.

"Likewise" I mouthed. She frowned again taking a bite from her plate. I did the same as Joseph nervously shifted next to me. I gave him another glare as he glanced down.

"*Did you really have to throw out your shoes?*" I simply shrugged taking a sip of my drink. There was a silence as tension grew in the air.  Johnathan started up another conversation addressing the 'pack'. I didn't even bother to pay attention. I didn't look up to read their fast moving lips I could only look at him.

I caught him staring at me. Hope in his eyes. I could tell. A mans eyes is the window into a mans soul. When you look at someone and make eye contact you expect their emotion to match yours hoping they feel the same way you do.

But in this situation the favor was not returned in such way. No it was different. There was no hope. There couldn't be any hope.

Joseph nudged me and I glanced up at him. "*They asked you a question*" I turned my attention to my aunt a grim look upon her face.

"How's my brother doing?" I dropped my fork knowing it let out a loud noise as the table vibrated. "I'm sorry I just thought he would be joining today and-"

"*And if you wanted to know how your Step-Brother was doing you would've called*" Joseph had translated, hesitating.

"Like you would pick up the phone.." she mumbled.

"*I heard that! Jospeh get them out of here*"

"B-But-"

"Out!" I screamed, feeling the burning in my throat.

Ryder went close to his mate fuming, whispering something in her ear. She nodded getting up. Emily looked at me with concern as her family all began to get up. But Mason didn't  get up. He just stared. Everyone was up at this point. He still wasn't up. My teeth gritted.

"*Send a mind link out. All pack members on these lands are now aloud to be killed on sight*" Johns eyes her wide.

"B-but" he began to stutter.

"*As you Alpha I command you to make it law of the rouges!*"

I couldn't go. I couldn't leave her. Yes she was my cousin, it's not like it wasn't uncommon. She glared at me with such hatred. Coal whimpered in my head, begging me to stay begging me to make it better.

She started to sign again, her Betas face becoming pale. "B-but" she signed again and he bowed his head. His eyes glazed over and I looked between them.

"Run" I stared at the man Joseph. His eyes frantic. "I said run if you don't want to be killed! Go!"

"Mason let's go!" Emily tugged at my arm, bringing me up from the chair. They began to pull me out of the room.

No stop. Don't let them take you! Don't let them! He was screaming. His voice cracking. I tried to get out of their grip. The door closed and  rouges were starting to make their way up the stairs, a blood thirsty look in them.

I'm sorry Coal. I have to get my family to safety.

But but-

Get it out of your head you stupid wolf! She don't want you!

Caleb! Of coarse she wants us. She is our mate and-

Yeah well she's not mine...she will reject you Coal and you will be-

JUST STOP! We were at the doors, about to get out. A sharp pain pounded in my head. I screamed, dropping to my knees. Emily and Sophie lost their grips on me. Sophie had said something but the voices in my head had drowned out the noise. Another pain as my hands had found the temples, squeezing my head trying to stop them.

They were trying to take control. My eyes began to sting, knowing they were probably switching between them. Yellow and Red, the colors trying to dominate the other. Caleb had then taken control of my body. He got up and sprinted out of there, grabbing my sisters. It was all a blur, he just knew he had to get them out of there. He set them down at the border.

"Mason snap out of it. You know what happens when your like this for too long!" Emily. Caleb had crouched in front of her.

"I know. We will be fine. I have to get mom and dad. Stay"

"Mason no-" and with that he sped off. He stopped at the entrance to the building. Mom was in her wolf form throwing off whoever came close. Dad was still in his human form, his tux having scratches and being shredded, blood was streaming down from a wound on his head.

Caleb took control again, the fangs coming out my fingers turning into sharp claws. Another blur, I wasn't as connected to Caleb as I was to Coal. Things he did sometimes I would forget or barley remember.

He slashed through some rouges, cutting them by their necks, making them choke on their own blood. He also bit them, taking a drink and letting his poison do the rest. He grabbed my mother first then my father and running off to the border again.

He sat them down as I felt another searing pain in my head. I groaned falling back down on my knees. Mom had already turned, putting on a shirt.

She came over to me, her warm hands caressing my face. She looked up. "It's happening... oh.. Mason.. Mason hunny can you hear me?" I nodded holding onto her wrist. "We need you to relax okay?"

I love her! Now let me have control to go back to her

Listen lover boy you can't love someone you've barley known or in fact had a proper conversation with.

I did. Didn't you feel that connection when we kissed? Oh her kisses could drive me crazy.

But they won't now that's a shame I'm taking over and that's final

"No, stop it-stop it-stop it!" I rolled over getting away from them.

Then she came out from the trees
